South Africa has moved two notches down on the Economist's 2016 demcocracy index, released this week to the 39th spot. The index, which looks at a hundred and 65 states, classifies South Africa, as a flawed democracy. The report, titled revenge of the deplorables, is sa reflection of the popular revolt against political elites.
