President Jacob Zuma earlier this week told NPA head, Shaun Abrahams to give reasons why he shouldn't be suspended. This was prompted by an urgent court application from Freedom under Law and the Helen Suzman foundation forcing the President to suspend Abrahams, North Gauteng director of public prosecutions, Sibongile Mzinyathi and acting special director of public prosecutions, Torie Pretorius, pending an inquiry into their fitness to hold office. This following charges brought against finance minister, Pravin Gordhan and SARS officials.
