• We know how difficult it can be to get a face-to-face therapy appointment these days. How expensive it can be. How impossible it can feel to squeeze in a visit in your already hectic schedule.
• How lonely and unsupported you can feel in between sessions.
• And how you just seem to forget all the things your therapist told you since that last visit.
• No more. This is therapy on your terms.

Listening is the one thing that we want but is hard for many of us to do. Listening is one of those things that take effort but it is something that can be accomplished.
Concerning listening, does your spouse, children, employees, employers, etc feel heard?
Do they feel that you pay attention to them? or do you ensure that they listen to you.
We're taking our source from Forbes, by Dianne Schilling. This is an absolutely great article. Feel free to go to it and print it out to constantly practice.

What Does It Mean To Make Peace With Your Past?
Things happen in our life, not everything is in our control. Breakups happen, child abuse can leave a deep scar in your mind and you could be dealing with toxic parents all your life.
We sometimes consciously or unconsciously carry the anger and hurt inside us for years before we finally let go. People tell us, “Make peace with your past so it won’t spoil the present.” But they don’t tell us how really it is possible to avoid living in the past.
If you want to make peace with someone who hurt you, make peace with yourself first. Here are 13 ways to make peace with your past.

Every so often, even in the safest of places, marriage can rupture your heart, or worse. Sometimes love may cost you your soul.
While some elements are 'cheesy', it aims to show how domestic abuse victims are usually confused and blame themselves.
Let's go with Grace to see how (and if) she navigates this storm that her husband set up for her.

Churches should be places of safety. In some cases, they are but in many cases - where domestic violence is prevalent - the victims get neglected.
Domestic abusers hide in churces - often in leadership. They put on an act for those watching. Instead of working on themselves, they work on their image. They fool many third parties with a 'nice' public persona, but show their true selves t side behind closed doors.
Unfortunately, when victims turn to their churches for help often they are told to be 'good-strong' Christians and deal with the behavior. Many times the victim is tasked with 'changing' the abuser with love and holiness. Sadly, many church leaders don't know that they are feeding into an abusers need to control and manipulate.
This article was taken from Lifeway Research and provides valuable stories and education to help church leaders help those in domestic violence circumstances.

When I uploaded the last episode - De Weaponizing The Culprit - I knew there would be a lot of backlash. However, nothing could have prepared me for the amount of defensiveness that came along with the comments.
A lot of people was triggered.
For that very reason, that told me that many people have selfish, one sided relationships that they are not willing to invest in. In other words, like I mentioned in the first podcast (as well as this one), many people have a "Do for me only," attitude toward sex.
Listen, how can we expect our spouses to invest in us physically if we don't invest in them??? That question is directed toward men and women.
Anyhoo, here is Part 2. I hope you enjoy.
If we take the time to dig and eat humble pie (as the author of this blog says), perhaps we can have happy, satisfied experiences in our lovemaking.

Alot of times people talk about couples using sex as a weapon. Many of those times, it's directed at women. However, no one talks about why it's used as a weapon.
"Husbands, why is your wife happy to stay without sex, for the period she is making you wait? You may not want to hear this, but she is probably not getting half of the satisfaction you are getting from the act of sex.
There! I’ve said it! Sorry ladies, but someone needs to let these men know that they are not quite hitting the mark. This is not to bruise your ego in anyway brothers. Let’s talk this out. If this is something your wife really enjoys, and she is not meeting her needs in unholy ways, then why will she be punishing herself as well as you?" - Taken from dishusbandmata.com
Follow along with us as we take a look at what Keisha, author of Dishusbandmata, explains regarding why women use sex as a weapon (or so you say).
