Goal #1 (before race): Total Preparation

Definition: giving your fullest focus, intensity, and effort consistently.Goal #3 (after race): No Regrets
Leave it all out on the course.
Monitor physical intensity.
Do pre-race routine.
Do mental imagery.
Breathe.
Review race plan.
Focus based on focus style.
Focus on technique and pace.
Stay within yourself.
Be disciplined (don’t get caught up in mad rush).
Monitor physiology and adjust pace.
Stay positive and aggressive.
Have the fitness to finish strong.
Practice finishing strong in training.
Fuel well.
Recognize there is still fuel in the tank.
Focus on breathing.
Have an aggressive mindset.
Use power words.
Smile.
