Alan and Ronan start the season proper with Russo and Ferrara's first Nitro. It's a dramatic change, to say the least. Featuring some confusing storyline developments, not least an unintelligible hotel room scene. Have fun!

Before getting stuck in to the Vince Russo era of WCW, Alan and Ronan take a look at the final pre-Russo pay-per-view, to get a better idea of why the company was so desperate to land Russo and Ed Ferrara. It doesn't take long to figure it out. Enjoy!

Hello! A quick introduction to the world of The Worst There Was, a new podcast from Northern Irish comedians Alan Irwin and Ronan Linskey. Two longtime wrestling fans take some deep dives into the "worst" eras of wrestling, in a masochistic journey to find out if there's any merit to them.

Season 1 will be all about the ill-fated Vince Russo era of World Championship Wrestling, because, bro, I will never forget to this day, bro, the WCW/Russo tag team.

The first full episode, WCW Fall Brawl 1999, will be coming very soon, but until then like and subscribe to the podcast and our social media, because bro, it will be huge, bro.
