Janel’s boyfriend injures Janel’s car, apparently relationships mean accepting that some things will never change, Sam’s marriage commissioner serves hilarious old-person mishaps, and wedding plus-one confusion and conversations are super awkward!

Our Google searches are boring, Janel wonders how birds mate, the best way to put on your bra, flying is very scary, tiny planes are essentially paper airplanes, and wine cures everything.

We celebrate our one year TCGA anniversary by reading and answering a few listener questions and comments, and we chat about lies we’ve told, migraines we’ve had, and road rage incidents we’ve instigated and been victims of. Thanks for hanging out with us this past year!

It’s almost our one-year anniversary, so let us know your favourite moments so far to help us celebrate! In this episode… Sam’s friend hurt her feelings, confrontation is a good thing, Sam ordered ice cream from two different places on Skip the Dishes at once, penises are really not that attractive to us even though we’re straight women, Janel’s boyfriend worries about having an old man butt, and confronting bigots can be productive.

Janel has to deal with a mouse problem and … struggles with it, Sam recalls the time she had a mouse “problem” (pet) in university, and Janel gets her eyes glued shut in the name of beauty.

Every car salesperson says they aren’t a pushy salesperson while working really hard to push you to buy, Sam and Janel share the joys of their car shopping experiences, relying on father figures for help, and being gas-lit and bold-face lied to by a “plumber” who thinks being a woman means being an idiot.

Sam is basically an expert at it now…but Janel is still going through the growing pains of learning cohabitation with her boyfriend. Sure we may come off as total controlling b*tches, but we just like to call ourselves “particular.” What’s been your biggest challenge cohabiting?

An accidental boob grab at a work function, Sam’s boss makes a seriously inappropriate gesture in a big meeting, and everyone who sends ‘reply all’ emails should just STOP.  Plus Janel had to help her boyfriend take off his pants–because he’s a child.
