But here's the thing, we so often only celebrate the successes - no one ever talks about the pivots and stops that one needs to take before they're "successful." and I'm calling BS. I sensed that I could merge my purpose with inspiring products. I had found my path to joy.

It meant stepping off the manicured path, into a wilder and uncertain place. I didn’t know exactly where it would lead; but knew that this path would fill my heart, energize my mind, make my heart race with thrill and fear while giving me the courage to take the leap.

Hi, I’m Jessica Faath (she/her pronouns) and I hold space for women to grow into leadership roles, to put their talent to work and move their life into the next level.

At the age of 17, I was given a second chance. As I watched my body recover from near death, I became aware that each day was a new chance to be a leader in my own life.

With 20 years in a corporate management role and a lifetime of volunteer experience coaching and mentoring young women, I serve women by helping them learn to use their voices as change agents. My clients benefit from a Masters in Business education, professional project management & sales experience as well as many lessons learned living and working in Europe.

In my personal life, I am the mother of two boys, living with my family in Michigan. Aside from career and family, I am also a living example of how when you get out of your own way and share your story, you give your gifts to others.

March 30, 2021 Ep. 104: Give Yourself Permission to be Awesomely YOU
Tomorrow is the 1 year anniversary of the podcast!! Cue the trumpets & champagne please! Today in reflecting back on the last 365 days, I read the poem "Our deepest Fear" by Marianne Williamson and it struck me how close to home that poem really hit. While yes, I have fear of rejection, of judgement, of inadequacy, a lot of the work I've done over the last year is becoming comfortable with the uncomfortable. And in doing so, I had to give myself the permission to be awesome. To be authentically me - even if that made other people uncomfortable. I share some stories (when do I not?!) and also some techniques I've used to get myself over this hump.

Today I talk to my friend, Amber Frauenholtz, who shares her journey of leaving corporate America and following her passions to support new mamas feel alive & restore from postpartum depletion. In our conversation we touch on how after giving birth, Amber felt like she was struggling to tie her identities together & that feeling of pressure that so many women feel of trying to be the best mom/employee/wife. We talk about her decision to leave a 6 figure salary, stock & financial comfort to pursue joy & the feeling of being unable to talk to anyone about her feelings because she felt so ashamed of wanting a different life. Man, there is SO much I could relate to in my conversation with Amber and I think you will too.

Amber is a certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP), Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, Disney World fanatic, and mom of 4 year old James and 2.5 year old Griffin.

After being blindsided by the intensity of new motherhood Amber began a journey to re-build her identity and heal from postpartum depletion - a syndrome that describes the toll pregnancy, birth, and postpartum take on the body. This eventually led to her leaving her corporate job of 7 years to pursue a coaching business supporting new moms. She is passionate about helping others avoid the nutritional depletion and stress that accompanies giving birth in our culture today.
