I'm leaning in to the uncomfortable in this episode and talking about the current events unfolding in our country. At the time of this recording, the United States is in pain. Still in the midst of a global pandemic, 40 million people unemployed, and small businesses struggling to survive, protests have erupted in the streets in cities across this country spurred by the senseless murder of an unarmed black man, George Floyd, in Minneapolis. There is a lot of pain and it's time for me to be part of the solution.

Dreaming is only something kids do or what you do when you're sleeping or bored, right? Turns out dreams are for adults too but somewhere along the way LIFE happens and the only dream we may have is getting a full night of uninterrupted sleep (hello, hot flashes). There are so many reasons women in midlife stop dreaming. But, the practice of dreaming, of painting a picture in your mind of your future self, is just that, it's practice. So, if you've given up on dreaming because you're focused on the reason(s) your dream can't come true, come along with me in this week's episode and listen to why I think it's important to keep dreaming, especially now as a midlife woman. Today, a new version of my podcast emerges as Episode 31 launches This Midlife in BOLD. Still the same me, same inspiration, and call to action to live your best life, but with a specific focus on midlife years and on what it means for me to live BOLD. If you’re tired of living life on auto pilot, wasting precious years of doing the same thing when you know want more, and just surviving in midlife instead of thriving but, you just don’t know how to get out of your own way, I got you my friend; you're in the right place. Nothing gets me more fired up than hearing midlife women say, “Well at our age, we really shouldn’t do that…” Midlife is a time to stop “shoulding” yourself and start saying,“yes” to everything you want to do, have, or be. Life is short and precious so NOW is the time to live your midlife in BOLD. Connect with me on Instagram or Facebook @midlifeinbold or visit me at www.midlifeinbold.com.
Well here we are, three months into 2020. The year of getting your life in focus, creating a vision, oh yeah and navigating a global freaking pandemic also known as COVID-19. There are so many feelings and emotions being experienced by my friends, family, and clients ranging from annoyance to fear to gratitude for some time to nap and wear pajamas. All of those feelings are valid. Heck, I feel some of those feelings all in one hour! Whatever you're feeling during this time is OK. You're OK, even if you're not OK. All feelings matter and you don't need to apologize to anyone or feel bad for how you feel. In this episode I'm talking about my 2020 Mantra: Be More, Do Less, friendships in the middle of life, and Oprah. I didn't create any concrete goals when January 1st rolled around this year and so far it's been working for me. I have been enjoying the year and getting back in touch with what makes me happy. I'm accomplishing things and committed to living my best life, but in a more natural and organic way. I'm BEING engaged in life instead of going through life with a checklist and always DOING the things I think I should regardless of whether or not it makes my soul sing. Nope, done with that way of living. In today's podcast, I'm also sharing the details and my thoughts about my day long experience with Oprah at her 2020 Vision: Your Life in Focus tour in Los Angeles, letting you in on the nuggets of wisdom I learned, the clarity I gained and more.
