Luke 18:9-30; Matthew 5:8

In this chapter, Jesus teaches us to say humble prayers, have a heart as pure as a child, and detach ourselves from our riches, and we will receive riches on earth and in heaven.

Jesus makes it very clear how to inherit heaven and have a close relationship with the Father. We need to allow God to exalt us, not ourselves or other men. We are to give to others without strings attached, for God will honor our giving. When we pray sincere prayers, God listens, for we humble ourselves and recognize His power over all.

Today, Jesus invites us to come to God with a genuine heart. He assures us that God is always listening to our prayers and aware of our weaknesses and sins. However, He rewards those who sincerely follow Him or seek Him above all riches.

Luke 17:1-10, 12-17, 20-21,34-36; Ephesians 3:20

Jesus is present in all our life circumstances, guiding us. In Chapter 17, we will see how Jesus prevents us from being stumbling blocks to others, asks us to forgive and repent, and encourages us to use our mustard seed-sized faith to witness miracles and be moved by it. We should be obedient to our leaders and bosses, as He has placed them in our path for us to grow and surpass expectations for His glory. Although Jesus cleansed ten leprous men, only one Samaritan returned to give Him glory. We should be thankful that even as Gentiles, He came to save us as well, for salvation is from the jews but only found in Him. The Kingdom of God was present in the crowd as Jesus explained these things, for He is the embodiment of the Kingdom of God. Jesus knew how to answer the Pharisees' tests and display His deity to them and others. Upon the day of the rapture, one will stay and the other will go to heaven in different instances. Therefore, we are to preach the word of God so that others may come to Him and be with Him in all of life's circumstances and in heaven. We must trust that He can do more than we can ask or imagine. Trust in Him today and always.

Luke 16:1-13, 19-31; 1 Timothy 6:17-19; Matthew 10:16

In chapter 16, Jesus instructs us to be wise with what has been entrusted to us, as we are sons of light living in this world. We are to manage other people's money wisely so that God can trust us with our own money, even if it's just a little. Matthew 10:16 advises us to be wise as a serpent and innocent as a dove. God wants to bless us with riches on earth, but it's important to manage them well. This means giving, paying off debts, saving, and growing our money through investment. By being good stewards, others may admire and seek to learn from our financial management. It's important to spend wisely and avoid being distracted by the attractions of the world. While doing so, it's okay to treat ourselves occasionally. Being wise with our money can open doors to more financial opportunities.

Luke 15: 5,7, 9-10, 17-24, 31-32; Thessalonians 2:19-20

This chapter discusses the joy that comes after repentance, as well as the realization that worldly pleasures are not truly satisfying. Only the joy found in Jesus can truly fulfill us. He encourages us to acknowledge and address our emotions and to repent in order to find lasting joy. When a sinner repents, there is great joy in heaven in the presence of the angels of God. Our mission should be to bring people to Christ, motivated by our firsthand knowledge of the life-changing grace and joy found in Him alone. By fulfilling this mission and leading people to salvation, we will be rewarded with a crown in heaven. We are called to preach not merely for the sake of heavenly rewards, but because in Christ there is abundant joy and eternal life.

Luke 14: 4-6, 7-24, 34-35; Luke 5:13

In this chapter, Jesus confronted the Pharisees on several matters. Firstly, he healed on the Sabbath, which was something the Pharisees often confronted him about. Secondly, Jesus told them a parable about the seating arrangement at a banquet, where he emphasized the importance of humility. Thirdly, Jesus emphasized the importance of inviting the poor, crippled, lame, and blind to a banquet before inviting those who can repay the favor. Lastly, Jesus spoke about how people make excuses to avoid coming to his table or banquet, putting material and personal excuses before Him. However, he reminded them that as the "salt of the earth," we need to be seasoned by spending time with God and seeking His guidance to face the challenges and the decisions we make in life.

Luke 13

In this chapter, Jesus teaches that simply listening to preachers or associating with other believers does not necessarily indicate personal growth. He emphasizes the importance of genuine growth, likening it to a mustard seed that flourishes and provides nourishment to others. Jesus encourages us to demonstrate our growth by staying rooted in the scriptures, which will guide us in the right direction and protect us from false teachings. He urges us to stay on the narrow path that leads to truth and heaven.

Luke 12:13-20, 23, 26; Acts 20:35

In these scriptures, Jesus discusses covetousness in a way that instructs us on how to live the life God has called us to and avoid being covetous.

Luke 11:11-13, 33, 42-44

In today's word, I see Jesus stating that the Holy Spirit is a gift God gives to those who ask Him. The Holy Spirit guides us to live in this fallen world, for He is Holy, Counselor, and Guide. He dwells inside us to lead us and live a righteous life in the sight of God. The Holy Spirit is the light that lives inside of us and connects us to the Father to live a life guided by His love and the standards stated in His word. We are not living a sincere life if we hide our light to garner votes.

Luke 10; Matthew 5:43-45

Jesus instructed 70 other disciples to go ahead of him and preach about him. He gave them authority and power over demons and the enemy. After they returned, Jesus gathered them for what seemed like a debriefing about their journey. A lawyer in the crowd tested him by asking what is needed to inherit eternal life. Jesus responded by telling a parable about the Samaritan, emphasizing the importance of showing love, compassion, and mercy even to our enemies, and putting the law or scriptures into practice from the head to the heart to the hands. Finally, Jesus emphasized the importance of sitting at his feet to learn from him and to be submissive. One other thing we can rejoice in the power He gives but rejoice more that that your name being recorded in heaven.
