We once again return to the movie franchise that refuses to stop.  Surprisingly this movie is a bit understated than the previous despite the fact this flick still goes balls to the wall, they just don't go to space.  New characters are added and damn near every previous character also returns, even the dead ones.  Whether the world wants it or not, there are two more movies coming.

We are moving along to the next film in the new franchise we have started.  The first movie was a surprise hit so they moved quickly to get this franchise built and continued.  It appears they filmed this one and the next back to back, and they expand on the story greatly, a bit to its own detriment. This movie is bigger in every way.  They add some great actors to the cast, bring back all the returning characters, but the film is  a bit bloated that could have easily shed close to a half hour.

This episode we continue our journey back and we discuss films from 1978.  This has been one of the weaker years we have done.  That being said, there are certainly two all time classics.  There was a bit of crossover, but it did turn out that we did discuss a wide variety of movies.  One of the hosts begins to have a bit of a rough time at the end.

This episode we will be doing things a little differently as we discuss not only a movie, but also a Netflix show that are both based on a series of novels.  One of us saw the movie before the show while the other only saw the movie after watching the series.  Both are good in their own right, but we each thought the show was a bit better.  There has been a season and a half released to Netflix and there are some story elements of the movie that appear in the show.  

We are breaking ground on another decade.  We are starting to get into territory where most of the movies are being seen for the first time.  There were some interesting movies this year, some of which we had never heard of prior to starting the year.  Two of us had quite a bit of crossover so the other had a bunch of solo films to discuss.

Another episode, another franchise started.  I don't believe this was meant to become the massive franchise it turned out to be, but it was a massive success.  This is the only movie I know that is based on an amusement ride.  Normally it goes the other way around.  Not only did this movie launch one of the most profitable franchises, it also created one of the most iconic film characters of the last 30 years.

We finally decided to activate our membership with the movie theatre where we get to see three movies a week, so we decided to discuss the two movies we just watched.  The first is the final movie in a trilogy that is a part of a much bigger universe.  It was much more emotional than we anticipated going in.  The second movie stars one of our favorite stand up comedians based on his most well known bit.  If you are a fan of the comic, you will probably like the movie.  If you don't like him, there is no chance you will find any enjoyment in this film.

20 years ago a movie came out that is now almost unanimously viewed as the worst video game adaptation of all time.  It seems the studio leaned from its mistakes and made an adaptation that sticks to the game and turned in a very enjoyable movie.  There are tons of Easter eggs and homages to not just the original game, but several of the games in the series.  It is a fun movie for both kids and adults.

This episode we return back to our movie collection and picked a random film.  This is a movie I myself had not seen before, and was pleasantly surprised by it.  It was theatrically released as PG-13, but the blu ray has an unrated version that is a very hard R.  At first glance, you would think that this flick is a 2 hour advertisement for a specific company, but the comedic duo they chose to star make the movie pretty funny despite the bias the film may have.

We have just wrapped up another decade.  This year had two definite all time classics, but beyond that it didn't appear to be too impressive.  Upon further investigation, it was a very good year, especially if you are fans of the horror genre.  This was a good year to review because there were a lot of movies that we had never seen before and it is always fun to see a film for the first time as opposed to rewatching it.
