Last Friday, Netflix dropped the second, 10-episode season to one of its fastest growing shows... Teen-drama-adventure-mystery Outer Banks. I watched both seasons. On Today’s Episode, we talk over the ridiculous yet exciting plot that poses the question, what if we injected teens with adrenaline and made them solve homicides in The Bahamas instead of going to school?

It's a crazy premise with crazier character development, but take a listen if you want to hear our full thoughts!

In honor of our 200th episode, we rank the last 100 shows that we've reviewed in 2021 and pick out our favorites to talk about and recommend. From History of Swear Words to Masters of The Universe: Revelation we've watched a lot, and though we may never be an expert on any specific show, there have certainly been some that catch our attention as special. Let us know if you agree with our assessment, what shows you'd like us watch next, and what genre you prefer. We did our best to refrain from huge spoilers so you should be able to listen without ruining too much about any series. Hope you enjoy the listen!

An animated superhero fantasy sequel to the  1983 show He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, which consisted of 130 episodes and a full franchise of merchandise for Mattel (not bad for a company that passed on Star Wars).

On Today’s Episode, we discuss Kevin Smith’s controversial continuation to Masters of the Universe. We go over all five episodes of Part 1. Our next episode will be our 200th, and will feature a "Best Of" 2021 so far. Have a great day!

The continuation of a classic "man and man's best friend" story. Scott Turner Jr. (Josh Peck) follows in his fathers footsteps, solving crimes as a Deputy Marshal while taking in a fully grown French Mastiff (Hooch). The Disney+ premiere is polished and predictable. McG has a good track record with comedies, and the show is typical of a mid-USA Psych/Monk procedural. Kids should like it and adults will too if Tom Hanks shows up!

On Today’s Episode, we discuss the spin-off to the anthology series American Horror Story (AHS), American Horror Stories (AHSies). The key difference: the spin-off doesn’t retain the same storyline past one or two episodes. The segments are self-contained, like Black Mirror, or Into the Dark, or Solos.

This marks the second Ryan Murphy show we’ve reviewed after Ratched.

“Drive In” – the third episode of this first season, written by Manny Coto and directed by Eduardo Sanchez, is about a film that turns people into zombies.

Have a great weekend!

You've heard of blind dates and speed dating. Why not slap on a mask and, in fitting Bachelor style, make each contestant grovel for the love of their randomly selected partner over the course of two days? It's about as awkward as one would expect, from the narrating host to the heavy handed flirting between a devil and a mouse. Tune in to hear our full break down of episode 1, "Emma the Demon".

"New Day" - The second installment of HBO's star studded mystery dark comedy that revolves around a group of affluent hotel guests and the hotel staff.

Episode one established that someone dies during their stay at The White Lotus, but we as the audience don't know who. Join us on Today's Episode as we talk about the show, find out if episode two dropped any clues, and discuss how the show came to be. Happy Tuesday everyone.

Based on a hit True Crime podcast and inspired by the terrifying true story of Dr. Christopher Duntsch, Peacock's Dr. Death (starring: Joshua Jackson, Christian Slater, and Alec Baldwin) kicks off its first episode presenting the audience with the aftermath of one of Duntsch's botched surgeries.

It doesn't get lighter from there. This is not a feel good story with any discernible silver lining. Still, we highly recommend you checking it out. Why recommend such a dark show about an egomaniac? You'll have to listen to our review to find out!

From the creators of Despicable Me (Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio ), The Secret Life of Pets, and Bubble Boy – the Musical, comes Schmigadoon starring Keegan-Michael Key and Cecily Strong. If it wasn’t rated PG and didn’t and star a bunch of comedians, a story about an interracial couple getting stuck in some unmapped town with strangers obsessed with the 1940s sounds like a horror trip. Especially after the interest for shows like Them and Lovecraft Country have skyrocked in no small part because of Keegan-Michael Key’s best friend, Jordan Peele. That said, Schmigadoon! promises to be a light, farcical parody of early Broadway musicals. Does it deliver? Tune in to find out!

Given her family's prospective move from LA to India in the coming weeks, high school sophomore Devi (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) says YOLO to ethics and decides to date two guys at the same time without their knowledge. John McEnroe's narrates the series like some omniscient telepathic Tennis God, and the situational comedy and witty banter make it a lot better than some of Netflix's cheesier teen romcoms. Hope you join us and tune into Today's Episode where we talk about the premiere, "... been a playa".
