It's impossible to discuss NBC's latest sci-fi drama about mysterious alien space junk without really scrutinizing the plot of this first episode.  Floating bodies, ghost kids, and government coverups? Check, check and check. Buddy cops,  cheesy twists, and forced dialogue that is saturated by overly dramatic music? Check, check and check. It's not a perfect show by any means, but it attempts to do a lot. We try to cover it all in less than 30 minutes. Hope you enjoy!

NBC is still fairly new to the rebooting routine but it's not a steep learning curve. Between the cheesy jokes, predictable plots, and dedication to casting the same original cast all grown up, it's got the formula down pat. There are some surprising elements in the pilot that we discuss, like how many jokes about parents on tinder do we really need? But that doesn't mean you wont enjoy the show if you were a fan of the original series. 

To all those hoping to see the live action adaptation of the infamous fight between Superman and Dracula (where Dracula bites Superman but explodes because of the suns energy) you will be sorely disappointed. To most others, this latest rendering of the Clark Kent universe has met and exceeded many expectations. Standing at an 8.1 on IMDB, and promising to encapsulate much of what makes the caped hero beloved in the rural town of Smallville, we discuss a smattering of history and references in this episode of our podcast. Tell Me Your Secrets is a mystery crime drama that strives to intrigue its audience with a story of  conspiracies, murders, and missing people.  Unfortunately, the first episode "Once I Had a Love," is riddled with plot inconsistencies and main characters that it is hard to root for. On Today's Episode, we discuss our thoughts in detail and ask the question "Why have the protagonist steal someones kitten?"

A refreshingly original comedy that stands out in 2021s list of freshmen series. Young Rock, avoids being too corny, procedural, or overdramatized. It revolves around  four timelines which blend together nicely and highlight a cast of talented actors and comedians. Sure, "The Rock" will only gain popularity from this portrayal of his life, but the positive branding shouldn't keep too many fans away.
