Arizona State Sun Devils football has received good grades for most of the 2024 season thanks to great coaching and effort plus execution from the players. A win over the Utah Utes was no different for this week's grades. Kenny Dillingham was dialed in with a game plan to avenge last season's 55-3 loss to the Utes and it resulted in a masterful win and perhaps the best coaching of his young career. Coupled with coordinators Marcus Arroyo and Brian Ward, who both had excellent game plans, Arizona State Sun Devils football found remarkable success against a Utah team that is still a threat despite what people may be saying now. The offense once again ran through The People's Running Back Cam Skattebo to massive success thanks to a dynamite performance from the offensive line. It also made life easier for Sam Leavitt and the passing game. Defensively, the Sun Devils controlled the trenches, notched two sacks on Cam Rising, and hauled in three interceptions, including two from Caleb McCullough. With a combined effort from these units, Arizona State Sun Devils football overcame the odds and beat a Utah Utes football team that was picked as the preseason favorite to win the Big 12 Conference.
