Baker is back... again. This time we talk about navigating off trail in the Colorado wilderness, sun protection, and the band Puddle of Mudd? It's weird yo.

The Schill Brothers are one of my favorite backpacking YouTube channels because they like to goof around and talk smack almost as much as I do. We didn't really have a plan for this episode, I figured we could just start yappin' away and have no trouble going for an hour... turns out I was right! We talk about the weird quirks of the backpacking YouTube world, sponsorships, and they tell a funny story at the end about an unnecessary search-and-rescue call.

Taylor the Nahamsha Hiker is about to set out on her Appalachian Trail thru hike! After getting off the Appalachian Trail last year, Taylor is going to be back at it again this year, leaving in just a few days. We talk about what she is excited for, what she is nervous for, and I find a few chances to reminisce about my Appalachian Trail thru hike as well.

Jacob Younger and I met each other on the Northville Placid Trail in September 2020. He told me about making his own gear, starting a company, and I thought it was really interesting and invited him on the podcast!

Trevor Laher passed away while attempting a thru hike of the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) in March of 2020. Despite the tragic circumstances, his father Doug Laher has made it his mission to educate other hikers of the PCT and beyond about how the accident could have been prevented. Doug joins me in this episode to talk about Trevor's legacy, the accident, and what we can all learn from it.

Troy Zohner (Tomcat) joins the show to talk all things thru hiking, peak-bagging, and backpacking. He hiked the Appalachian Trail in 1999, and then went on to complete and attempt numerous other hikes. If you name it, there is a good chance Tomcat has done it!

James Appleton, host of The 46 of 46 Podcast comes on for his second Trail Tales episode. We spent most of this episode talking about the 'overuse' issue in the Adirondack High Peaks....although calling it such is a massive simplification. James lives in the Adirondack Park, and thus has some unique and valuable views on the subject. Even if you do not hike in the Adirondacks, I think there is a lot to learn in this episode, especially as public hiking trails have started to see an increase in traffic over the years.

In the 100th episode special, Baker takes over the job of interviewer and asks me all about my journey to becoming the #1 HOT NEW hiking influencer....lol. He asks me about the process behind my content, Flossy's involvement, my favorite YouTubers/podcasts, and much much more. PLUS this episode features some "new advertisers"... you won't want to miss it.

One of my favorite photographer's based in the White Mountains, Corey McMullen joins the show! I pick his brain about living in North Conway, which is a fantasy of mine lmao, and of course we spend a lot of time talking about the process behind his amazing photos. If you're not a photographer then don't worry; I really tried to ask more generalized questions about his process, rather than diving into the technical details...but if you like that stuff, I did ask a few technical questions as well. Nikoline Hamann joins the show all the way from Denmark to talk about her thru hike of the Appalachian Trail! We talk about the inspiration it took to commit to the idea of the Appalachian Trail despite living on a different continent, some of the highs and lows of her thru hike, and at the end she tells a story of how she fell and injured her face... only days away from Katahdin.
