Aimee Pitta is an award-winning writer/producer and marketing exec who’s created successful campaigns for almost every major studio from the early days of New Line, with top agencies like Trailer Park, and as a consultant with Paramount, Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions. Aimee is also a published author (having just won TaleFlick’s writers award first place for The Theory of Invisibility), the writer of a couple shows from Reel One Entertainment (Love’s Second Chance just premiered on the W network), and she is arguably the best “retitler” in the business.

Eugene Fillios is the founder and creative director of Creature Street, a trailer company that’s worked on campaigns such as Halloween, Candyman, Minions, The Hunt, The Invisible Man and many more. Something that’s also unique about Creature Street is that they’re based in Portland, Oregon.

Game Grumps brought him unexpected fame in the world of video games. But his heart has always been in trailers, aka coming attractions. Many in our industry know Samantha Hart from her time as a Creative Executive at Gramercy, Searchlight and Universal where her creative marketing campaigns brought prominence and Academy Awards to films such as Fargo, Dead Man Walking and Boys Don't Cry while earning cult status for indie features Dazed and Confused, Four Weddings and a Funeral and Priscilla Queen of the Desert. Sam later transitioned to build Foundation Content a shop that uniquely did both creative production and post-production under one roof. More recently, Sam and her partner and husband, director James Lipetsky rebranded and started Wild Bill creative, another disruptive creative content company. Because Helen is all heart, all soul, all brilliance and so powerful in all the best ways. All the time! We discuss her work as an Editor and Creative Director at some great shops like Ant Farm, JAX and her stint at Paramount Vantage. But any introduction of Helen has to include her contribution to the people of this industry as a friend, a mentor, a champion of so many others who are just now coming into their own and in a lot of ways the glue that makes this industry a community.

Dave Yocum and Kelly Yocum are both great trailer editors. And, yes, they're related - Dave is Kelly's dad. Dave is a legendary editor, producer, creative director at Create Advertising Group. He’s responsible for some of the most admired trailers of all time including the 300 Trailer and the Bohemian Rhapsody Teaser. He’s also known for creating most of the Harry Potter trailers as well as campaigns for films like Benjamin Button, the Matrix and A Beautiful Mind. Kelly Yocum is a rising star editor at JAX under the banner of Rock, Paper, Scissors. She has some pretty killer finishes including the trailer for BORAT SUBSEQUENT MOVIE FILM and some really cool pieces for HBO like the teaser for The Undoing and Euphoria. We explore what it was like working on some of the projects, how trailer editing has evolved, the value of having great mentors and how they each developed their process among many other topics.

Tom Grane, Co-founder and CEO of Mob Scene, arguably the pre-eminent creative agency for strategic content, such as Behind-the-Scenes and what’s called “EPKs” Electronic Press Kits, in the entertainment industry. Mob Scene also has a widely respected trailer division along with social/digital, brand work and original productions. Tom shares his experience navigating family and the company through the many challenges of the last year. He also has great stories about the many huge films he's worked on like AVATAR, brilliant directors like "Jim" Cameron and so many others he's befriended along the way.

Today’s guest is the first of what we’ll be doing a lot more of in 2021: Bringing in folks who are in the trenches now. Louis Plamondon, Trailer Editor at Zealot, who some might know as “Sleepy Skunk,” is helping to shape the trailer industry of today. He’s perhaps best known for those incredible trailer mashups he’s been doing since 2010. But he’s also a pretty killer editor on major campaigns such as the redband teaser for Possessor he did with Zealot last year.
