We spend a wonderful few days at Ellis Beach Caravan Park, camped on the sand in their unpowered section that is postcard perfect with its swaying palm trees and turquoise coral sea lapping at the shore. Then we travel to Lucinda, a sleepy little coastal town that is home to the southern hemisphere’s longest service jetty – at almost 6km long it sure is a sight to see! 

And we overnight at an indigenous owned cattle and horse ranch, Mungalla Station, and are blown away by its incredible history and spiritual connections.

Thankfully none of us were hurt and we had immediate help on the scene to get us out of the vehicle and upright again. A few weeks post-accident and we are feeling very grateful to everyone involved, and are well underway with the repair process.

We get back on the road and stay at an incredible off grid campground in the heart of the world heritage listed Daintree Rainforest, and we have the entire place to ourselves! 

We day trip to Cape Tribulation, where the rainforest meets the reef, and come face to face with a spectacular cassowary! Plus we check out all the foodie delights that the region has to offer. 

And, we hike through pristine rainforest to a secret waterfall on the Mossman river – the footage is sensational!
