Florida Killers ////// 945

Part 1 of 1

www.TrueCrimeGarage.com

Some of the most haunting serial killer cases in Florida have never been solved. Since the 1970s, investigators have documented clusters of murders across the state with troubling similarities: the same victim profiles, the same methods, and the same remote roadsides and canals. In several cases, detectives suspected a serial offender. The Florida Sheriffs Association is highlighting unresolved serial killer cold cases by utilizing modern forensic tools like DNA analysis and genetic genealogy. The Cold Case Advisory Commission meets quarterly to review stubborn homicide files with multi-agency experts. This week we take a look at some Florida serial killer cases that have remained open for decades.

Patricia Ann Veach ////// 941

Part 1 of 1

www.TrueCrimeGarage.com

This month marks fifty seven years since someone killed little Patricia Ann Veach. Patricia was less than a month away from her ninth birthday when she was killed. Two weeks before the murder, she served as a flower girl at her aunt and uncle’s wedding. While Patricia Ann Veach’s murder remains unsolved it will forever be tied to convicted killer Anthony Erthel Williams. Williams was convicted for the abduction murder of ten year old Pamela Powers. Williams proclaimed that the murder of Patricia Ann Veach seven months later was proof that the real killer of Powers was still out there and the little children of Iowa were not safe.

Free Roaming Predator /// Part 2 /// 940

In 2006, the Greenville, South Carolina Police Department announced that they had connected one of their unsolved homicides from 1990 to two unsolved homicides that had occurred hundreds of miles away in Missouri. This meant that investigators were not dealing with isolated, unrelated crimes. They were dealing with a linked series. Events connected by a single source, a single method, a single offender who traveled. Yet, the announcement came with a crucial limitation: they did not know the identity of the killer. But they knew the nature of the threat.
