Is it possible to enjoy the glitz, glamour, fun, and gifts of Christmas without being CONSUMED by them? It's the first day of the 3-part Christmas series here on the podcast, and I'm so excited to kick it off with a solo conversation about how to not be overwhelmed by the gift guides, budgets, you name it - and instead, behold Jesus. I'm talking to the one who feels like this year is anything but simple and giving some biblical and practical truth on how to keep what's first, well... first.
I'll see you here next week for the second episode of the Christmas series, all about what Advent is, how it's really not that complicated, and how to integrate it with your family. You don't want to miss it. Make sure to subscribe and follow the show.

Thankfulness is often a FIGHT. Time to put our boxing gloves on and step into the ring with the enemy. In honor of Thanksgiving right around the corner, join me for a solo episode all about how to fight for thankfulness when gratitude feels impossible. We're talking about how gratitude and grief can coexist, scriptural thankfulness (basing it off of truth, not circumstances), practical ways to flex your "gratitude muscle" and so much more. I just know this short but powerful conversation will leave you with a fresh, heavenly perspective and good news that gratitude is worth the fight.

This episode feels like a warm cup of tea! Sally Clarkson, the sweet mother-figure/mentor we all need, is on the show to give us her hard-won advice from walking with Jesus and living a well-lived life. From her lessons in Oxford, England, you'll walk away with encouragement on how to leave a lasting legacy, loving people like Jesus, how to become others-serving, gathering perspective and wisdom, and bonus: you'll hear some of her tips for the upcoming generation.
As we step into the holiday season especially, let this be inspiration to be others-minded and leave a legacy and mark on our lives and the people we come across for the gospel.

What does it *practically* mean to set our eyes higher? We're told as Christians to look to Christ, but how can we do that in a world constantly bombarded with social media, headlines, negative press, and distractions? My friend (and returning guest, whohoo!) Whitney Lowe is here to talk about how to disrupt our scrolls with Jesus' truth, biblical perspective on insecurity, capacity, abundance, burn-out, and so much more. Perspective is really everything, and we have the best in Jesus Christ, so tune in for encouragement on how to slow our anxiety and return to truth again and again.

I can't believe I'm making this episode! We're expecting our second baby boy in a few months (hello, third trimester!) and I wanted to share some of the practicals, along with biblical truth of course, that has sustained me through this pregnancy, as well as some ways that I'm preparing for labor and delivery. If you're currently pregnant, hoping to get pregnant, or a mom in the throws of littles, I know you'll find something to cling to from this episode.

Imagine a world where your creativity is not only a way to rest and reconnect with Jesus and yourself, but an act of worship. Today's guest, Jena Holliday, is here to blow our minds and encourage us to not count ourselves out, how to find the margin to create amidst busy lives, handling rejection, entrepreneurship, and more.

My guest and new friend, Alyssa Bethke, and I know what it feels like to unravel from trying to do it all - and I'm guessing you might relate to that feeling too. In a moment of powerful honesty, Alyssa is sharing the moment she realized how harmful "doing it all" was to her life and soul, and how to get back to a place of meeting God in our need. I cherished this episode with Alyssa and loved getting to talk about how to manage overwhelm, *actually* see our mundane as meaningful, encouragement for those feeling overlooked, and some wisdom on soul care and physical care.
