Linda is a Gastrointestinal Health Specialist, a teacher and a mother. It was lovely to meet Linda and hear about her background of where she started studying and now finding her passion in gut health. We dive into so many great topics in why our gut health is so important and how it plays a role in having a vibrant life, how the food we eat can actually cause anxiety and depression, the effects of diary and gluten in our diets, what are healthy bowel movements, the roles of pre and probiotics and much more. If you enjoy the episode share with a friend or on your social media and remember to subscribe to the podcast to help support and grow the show.

Pesticides: Some foods are especially high in pesticides. It’s best to buy these from organic sources. They are called the “dirty dozen” and include:
1. Apples
2. Cabbage
3. Strawberries
4. Capsicum
5. Tomatoes
6. Celery
7. Lettuce
8. Mushrooms
9. Nectarines
10. Grapes
11. Cucumber
12. Oranges
This is a guide only. Unfortunately there is no independent group that actively monitors the pesticide levels on Australian fruit and vegetables so keeping the list updated is difficult. It's best to buy as much as you can from organic sources especially those that are more susceptible to insect attack as these will be sprayed more heavily.
Gut Bacteria Test:
For more information about the Australian gut test as seen on ABC Catalyst and which I highly recommend.
