Dwayne was killed in the line of duty 12/17/2006 and he was survived by his wife and two daughters. I have Karen give her perspective on the process of joining the police family lifestyle from beginning to tragic end. She also talks about her experience at confronting the man who killed her husband, the effects on the family and much more. I was interviewed by a non-profit called Married 2 The Badge. We discussed police suicide and how we can help officers and significant others. Often times we are so quick to try and help officers and the spouses are overlooked. Take care of the roots (family) and the tree can grow.
