In our last episode of the summer we celebrate episode 50 with a throwback interview. When this podcast was first founded at the end of 2020, the goal was to interview people in the sports industry. As the focus narrowed to skiing the non-skiing episodes were hidden away. This is one of the episodes that got pushed to the side.

In this episode recorded in December 2020, we sit down with Pasang Karma Sherpa. Pasang is a trekking guide in Nepal that has lived in the Himalayas his entire life. We go over what it was like growing up in his village; his journey through adolescence and early adulthood; learning the skills to become a trekking guide; and stories from the mountains. I met Pasang in 2018 on a volunteer trip and trek to Everest Base Camp. He was one of the first people I reached out to when starting the podcast so I am very happy to be able to share his story once again.
