Join Rach as she chats with Naomi the Senior Student Life Advisor for Finance in Student Services at UEA about the impact that finances can have on students wellbeing particularly at the moment with the cost of living crisis. In this episode we chat with Annabel who is a Wellbeing Adviser for Disability within Student Services about looking after your wellbeing with a physical disability. Highlighting the impact that living with a disability can have on someone's wellbeing, and exploring some practical and personal actions that can help. This episode explores how to support a friend with their mental health. Considering the steps we can take to support someone, and the importance of boundaries and looking after ourselves. Rach and Rich reflect on some key questions with Emily and Tiya, two students at UEA and members of the Headucate society, hearing their perspective on how to best support a peer who may have poor or declining mental health.

World Menopause day is October 18th! This is a bonus episode of the month and it explores what menopause is, some of the signs and symptoms and the impact it can have on your wellbeing. This is the first episode back after the summer! Rich & Rach are joined by Gemma Standen the Widening Participation Officer for Mature Students. Drawing on Gemma's experience as a student, and with the students she supports in her role, we discuss what students can be doing to prepare themselves for university with a particular focus on the actions that will support their wellbeing during this transition. Although there is discussion around support for mature students this episode is suitable for all students getting ready to start at UEA.
