- She Did What To Jesus' Feet?! - Luke 7:36 - Scripture Study
Do you remember that time when a random woman cried on Jesus' feet and used her hair to dry them off? This account has always been a weird one for me, only because I never understood the context where it took place! I was always left with some questions... Why is she crying on his feet? Why use all of your expensive perfume? Why did she not use a towel? In this episode, we will explore the cultural context that leads this woman to show one of the most compelling acts of love

34 min - Quitting Sin - How To Quit Sinning
Sin is something to be taken very seriously. It has the power to destroy the beautiful creation God made. Sin takes what was otherwise good and corrupts it completely. Every single one of us sins, so we are all familiar with its capabilities to derail and hinder our lives. Have you ever wondered... How do we stop sinning? Yes, Jesus came to defeat death, but our ability to sin is still alive and well. In this episode, we look at one of Jesus' most blunt teachings about Quitting Sin and how we can implement this into our walk with God.

33 min - Jesus Called Her A Dog?! - Matthew 15:21 - Scripture Study
Remember that time Jesus called a woman a dog? Throughout the Bible, some things can confuse you and sometimes test your faith. I can understand how reading about Jesus calling a woman a dog can be problematic but is our understanding of this interaction correct? It sounds crazy but Jesus has very good reasons for using this kind of language. Reasons that will teach us to live better and rely on our faith.

34 min - Do We Have Value? - Pearl of Great Value - The Parables E6
Do we really have value? In the eyes of God of course! But what about for other people? Do we have inherent value or are we worthless? The parable of The Pearl of Great Value actually gives us insight to God's view on our worth. Although we sin and fall short we are still created in Gods Image. This truth gives us a duty we may not be aware of. Because we hold value we have the obligation to treat others with love even at our own expense. With this parable Jesus challenges our comfort and calls us to a higher standard.

14 min - The Great Banquet - The Parables E5
Jesus is back in the business of invading our comfort zone and challenging our beliefs with the Parable of The Great Banquet! At first glance this parable is pretty straight forward, but with an understanding of the cultural context we see how radical Jesus' view on the Kingdom was. Jesus gave parables to challenge his audience while correcting their flawed theology. If we read The Parables with that in mind we will find that the words of Jesus still challenge us to grow.

30 min - Scripture Study - Jude (Should We Fight For Our Faith?)
Jude is one of those books that can easily be overlooked. It's short, rather unknown, and just so happens to be right before Revelations. To my surprise this Scripture Study on the book of Jude has been the most insightful study I have done in a very long time. Although this book is short it does NOT lack substance. We uncover many different questions from Jude... Should we fear God? Is God always angry? Should we fight for our faith? All of these are very important and continue to apply to the lives of every believer, so naturally were going to discuss it in this Scripture Study on the book of Jude.

This study comes as a response to the destructive teaching that comes with False Prophecy. My goal is to equip you with numerous scriptures that will give you insight to Gods outlook on False Prophecy, How we can test and detect False Prophets, and how we can avoid Falsely speaking on behalf of God. 1 hr 10 min - New Year, New Me? - How to Change
New Years Resolutions are something we have all made at one point. We have the ability to recognize our shortcomings and more often than not we desire change. Time and Time again we strive to change and improve ourselves, but the question remains... Why do we so frequently fail? What is it about change that is so hard? Why do we struggle with the same addictions, shortcomings, and temptations year after year? It really makes me wonder if there can ever be a New Year, New Me.

25 min - The Pharisee and Tax Collector - The Parables E4
Jesus was not a novice to the age old art of roasting. We all can enjoy a good comical roasting from time to time, especially if its toward a friend or family member, but what happens when the person getting roasted is you? The Parable of the Pharisee and Tax Collector starts with Jesus calling out those who are self-righteous, and yes... that is you and I. What is odd about this Parable is we are not only self-righteous like the Pharisee, but we are also a messed up sinner like the Tax Collector. How can we reconcile this? More importantly how can we change?

26 min - The Good Samaritan - The Parables E3
The Good Samaritan is good right? Here is a shocker... In the eyes of Jesus' original audience Samaritans were never good, and evil at best. Have we accidentally turned this originally disquieting parable into a feel good story? For the listeners of Jesus this parable would have challenged their very idea of "Love your neighbor as yourself" while also opening their eyes to the fact that no one is excluded from receiving compassion and love.
