Welcome once again to the ⁠Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast. This is the 40th installment of the Ambassador ⁠Weekend review with our teacher Dr. John G. Mitchell.

Dr. Michell continues in John 10 looking at Jesus, the door of the sheep and the Good Shepherd. The good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.

Here we take a look at Jesus our Savior, the Word Who Was in the Beginning and who was with God and who is God. John's purpose in writing his gospel is 'that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the son of God and that believing, you may have life in His name.

We are in the last chapter of the First Epistle of John.

Let's turn in our Bible to First John 5 beginning with verse

14 in our study with Dr. Mitchell.

Confidence is the subject of our study today. Confidence of our eternal life in Christ and confidence in prayer that God hears us when we ask according to His will.

Dr. Mitchell continues our study in First John 5 verse 13.

Turn with us to 1Jn 5 verses 13 - 15. Here is Dr. Mitchell.

In First John 5:9-13 we are learning of the assurance that we who have the Son have the life. So, Let's get right into our study with Dr. Mitchell on the Unchanging Word.

What Divine assurances we have because of God's own sure testimony which He Himself has witnessed to us here in 1John 5: 9-13.

Is it not astounding that if we do not believe God we make Him a liar because we do not believe the testimony that God Himself has given us concerning His own beloved Son. God's testimony is greater!

Let's listen to Dr. Mitchell, 1 John 5:9-13

Our study today begins with 1Jn 5:6 concerning Divine certainties, Divine assurances. Here is God's testimony which we can take to heart, concerning the Person and Work of the Son God, Jesus Christ.

One of the goals of the Unchanging Word is Love from a pure heart, a good conscience and a sincere faith.

Now here is Dr. Mitchell to continue our study in 1Jn 5:6.

After reviewing John 8, he moves into John 9. Here we see Jesus restoring eyesore to a man born blind. This man’s parents acknowledge that their son was born blind. The neighbors recognized him as having been born blind. The man himself acknowledged that he is in fact the same man born blind.

Dr. Mitchell continues his overview of the book of John. Here we take a look at Jesus our Savior, the Word Who Was in the Beginning and who was with God and who is God.   Jesus is the Son of God and  the central focus of our faith. Our study continues in 1 John 5 beginning at verse 1 discussing love within the family of God.

Those who love the Lord Jesus love one another. 

And who is he that overcomes the world?

 Here is Dr. Mitchell to continue, 1John 5:1-5.

Can you answer that I do believe that Jesus is the Christ & that Jesus is the Son of God?

If so, the Bible says you love Jesus especially having been  born of God.

Our study today takes us through the end of chapter 4 of 1st John and into chapter 5 concerning our love for the brethren. The question is asked: who is my brother? Listen as Dr. Mitchell tells us from the Unchanging Word.
