There are many things in our world that could cause us to fear, but today we learn that God's perfect love casts out fear along with the distress that it brings.

Our study today continues in 1 John. 4:17-19 with Dr. Mitchell.

What could be more wonderful than a perfect love that casts out fear, and only God's love toward us is perfect. 

 And His love can and does cast out fear. 1Jn 4:17-19

As He  is, so also are we in this world. His perfect love has made a perfect provision for us to come into His presence. No one can produce any evidence in the presence of God that we were ever sinners.

Hence, we have boldness in the day of judgment.

Dr. Michell finishes John 8 where Jesus makes His claim for being God in the Flesh. Who is able to convict Me of sin? John 8:46, was His question to them. He further states, that “before Abraham was born, I AM.”  His declaration of Eternal Deity was understood by the people. John 8:58.

Here we take a look at Jesus our Savior, the Word Who Was in the Beginning and who was with God and who is God.  John’s purpose in writing his gospel is ‘that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the son of God and that believing, you may have life in His name.  John 20:30-31

In our Bible study today, we are looking at 1Jn 4 verses 9 and10. God did more than say He loved us, He demonstrated His love toward us by sending His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ into the world as the propitiation for our sins.

Let's join Dr. Mitchell in 1John 4 verse 9.

Today Dr. Mitchell continues our study in 1John chapter 4 beginning at verse 7…Fellowship with God who is Love.

How do we know that God is love? Is it not that we have His Unchanging Word on it? What we know of the God who is Love is what we know of Jesus.

Turn with us to 1John 4 verse 7 with Dr. Mitchell.

We are now into chapter 4 of 1st John and the section entitled: Fellowship with God who is Love.

Once again we are reminded of Jesus' own words that we are to love one another even as He Himself loved us and gave Himself for us.
