BTW, I highly recommend ALL of his books and his wife’s book The Spirit of Intimacy by Sobonfu Somé. I discussed the passage and the importance of a supportive community as a solution to ridding our communities of trauma, self sabotaging habits and devastation. Episode 7 has led to a response from my listeners to do a trauma series. I will discuss generational trauma, trauma bonding, healing in a hostile environment, healing practices and sources and everything in between. I will highlight some principles of The Black Panther Party and Dr Frances Cress Welsing. Song in the background is I Release by Beautiful Chorus, different tracks from their Album Wheels of Light will be the background music for the entire trauma series. As my listeners know I try and give a healing practice/resource every episode this song is one. Discussing trauma and our need in the black community to recycle it amongst our families, marriages, raising our children and then back into the community to do it all again. This trauma recycling behavior must stop. It serves no purspose. The post in IG I’m referring to said “If you do not address your childhood traumas, you romantic relationships will.” All your relationships will rotate and live in that trauma. TIME TO HEAL!! “King of the past, present, future, my ancestors are watching” Kendrick Lamar🖤🌍! Rest and rebirth Chadwick Boseman. I started this episode with a version of the song Black Panther by Kendrick Lamar on purpose as a way of paying homage, respect to the pride, purpose, Afrikaness and the legacy this young man left us with. His importance “to the culture”, he left us with truth and pride, wealth and wisdom through art as did the authors and article I will discuss in this episode. How all of this helps to heal the Afrikan as a whole within us, no matter where we are on the planet. The goal through whatever your craft/talent is too heal Afrikans globally.
