On this episode TJ Foster stops by the Dazzle Den to discuss what the band has been working on these last few months, as they have been off the radar for a little bit. Rest assured, they were not idling, but rather have been working on many things. Some of which will be revealed for the first time on this episode. So, enjoy episode 120 with my good freinf TJ Foster of E.R.I.E.

On this episode, I sat down with Lonny Eaton of ShortWave RadioBand to discuss his solo project, Forensic Polaroids, and the Pork Pi pedal collab with Poison Noises. I also call Amy Klemme of Mirth Films and we talk about this past weekends 420 events as well as some future happenings. I also mention 2 shows with 518 artists that I think are worth checking out.

VinTri Hill may be young, but they are rapidly finding their place in the 518 music scene. Comprised of just 2 members, they write catchy and solid original tunes that sound they were composed by someone with many mores years of experience under their belts. You can expect these guys to be around for a long time, not only due to their tight musicianship, but because they are also really great dudes. Check out VinTri Hill on episode 119 of Unsigned518.

Alison from MB Farm Cannabis came by the Dazzle Den again. This time to discuss WeedStock at No Fun in Troy on 4/20. WeedStock is a celebration of weed and local music in the 518. MB Farm will be on hand with some cool giveaways and Wizard Burger will be there serving up tasty burgers. Alison and I talk about not only the event itself, but also some breaking news from MB Farm about them opening a dispensary in the Collar City. We also give a quick phone call to Mikey Baish (of The Sugar Hold) who is putting on this event through his promo outfit, Ratzo's Jacket. So sit back, smoke 'em if you got 'em and enjoy Unsigned518's The Weed Episode.

Unsigned518 - Episode 118 - Pearson Constantino

I had never actually met Pearson before recording this episode, but he has been very instrumental in helping my band and so many others over these last several years as host of the hugely popular EQXsposure on WEQX that I felt like we were old pals. Every week Pearson puts together a playlist of local bands/musicians that really highlights the diverse and immense talent that can be found in our area. It is one of the few radio shows that I actively pay attention to each week, to see who is making moves in the 518. Pearson is more than just the host of EQXsposure, though. He makes really great music that, as I write this, I'm having trouble describing. It feels like a cross between ambient music and a score of a very tense movie. I know that description is not doing it justice, so you will just have to listen and decide for yourself.

Want to submit music for consideration on EQXsposure?
– Your band must be based in the EQX broadcast range.
– The focus of your band needs to be ORIGINAL music, NOT COVERS.
