Everyone it seems is paying attention to the news coming out of the middle east, and Israel in particular. What is interesting over the past few years is the news surrounding the red heifer that is coming of age really soon, and may even be sacrificed during Passover 2024. This is causing some people to freak out as most people believe that this will herald in the construction of the third temple as well as the end of the world. But should we be that worried? And what does Jewish tradition say about this?

This week we take a look at three bible translations to avoid. These translations include the CCP Translation, The Passion Translation, and the Pirate Bible Translation. The Pirate translation claims to be the first translation done purely through AI - and it presents the challenges of when a human is not involved in the process as there are verses that have their entire meaning changed. The Passion translation shows what happens when only one person handles a translation and the CCP version shows what happens when you try to bring politics into a biblical translation.

This week we talk about our recent trip to ArtPrize in Grand Rapids, Michigan. While there we got to view a ton of awesome art, and some art that sparked a conversation both for the good and negative aspects of the art. Some would say that any conversation on art is good, but as we went along a theme kept popping up. As artist - no matter the medium which you present your art in - we are responsible for the art and the message that is conveyed by that art and are responsible for that art as well.

This month we are listening to new music - and are looking at the song Bottom Of The Barrel by Rusty Shipp. Paul ran across this band while at Lifest. The song and the music video are both available on most streaming platforms, and this band is a smaller/newer band that (spoiler alert) both Paul and Aaron think should be listened to.
