This week we continue analyzing music with a newer song this year: Hope by NF. While not Paul's cup of tea on style of music - it has it's moments. Check out what both Paul and Aaron think of this song and let us know what you think of it as well.

Before we even got to this episode, the phrase "Ye Ye" had already become part of Aaron's vocabulary after he listened to the song multiple times on repeat. We analyze this song - with the full understanding that the song is just for fun and should not be taken serious at all. Join us this week as we look into the song - and does it end up on either Paul's or Aaron's personal playlist.

We discuss the history of it, go over some trivia and talk about why father's are important in the lives of children - including the fact that aa child with both a mother and father in the house are 4x less likely to live in poverty and the fact that when a child lives with only one parent they typically will end up living with their mother over their father.

This is part two of our conversation that we recently had between Paul and Aaron. In this episode of Use Your Words, we're having an open and honest conversation about what it means to be a Christian that is committed to living by what the Bible says, but also happens to be attracted to others of the same sex/gender. Aaron leads the conversation and asks the questions that he's always wanted to ask of Paul. We know this can be a sensitive topic, so we recommend listening to it first without children around on your own before deciding if it's appropriate to listen to it around children. We're keeping it real and honest, and we hope this conversation will help those who are struggling with this issue. So, tune in to Use Your Words now and join us for this important conversation!

This week we discuss chapter 11 of Knowing God by J.I. Packer. During this episode we talk about the central premise of Packer's book, which is to know God through interaction with Him and learning about Him and how important it is to follow His Word regardless of what our own selfish desires may want. Through knowing that God is truth, and that there can be nothing but truth from God - we learn not only a lot about how we as humans should live but more about Who God is himself.

This week's episode of Use Your Words Podcast is all about Messy in Heaven, a song by 21-year-old Venby which is part of the resurgence of drum and bass in Britain and Europe. It charted highly in the UK (3,1) and relatively high in the US (34,40) and is meant to be an anti-drug anthem. Although the song was inspired by a dream of Jesus looking intoxicated, the author says that it was not meant to be controversial or insulting song. Venby is one of a few female drum and bass artists and although only her second song appears to show that in the general world, she will have a very strong career - even if Aaron and Paul may have their own thoughts on the song.
