Dr. Bridget Munro has always had a love for science and sport.
So it's only natural that this path has led her into the role of Women’s Research Lead at the Nike Sport Research Laboratory.
Growing up in Tasmania, she spent her early years studying in biomechanics in Australia, before her and her family moved to Portland, Oregon to join the Nike team.
Here, Bridget has played a major role in the ongoing investment in women-specific innovation. Bridget and the NSRL team test women’s product with women’s specific science and technology like the Nike “BraBot” which simulates breast movement and Haley, Nike’s female-form thermal mannequin that assesses temperature and sweat zones during exercise.
This series is presented by Nike who are championing athletes and supporting them throughout their journey with innovative product, meaningful experiences and services.
The Female Athlete Project is excited to announce the 2024 TFAP Awards. These awards are set to amplify, recognise and celebrate Australian athletes' achievements in sports. Find out more: https://www.thefemaleathleteproject.com/awards
