March is a pivotal month for humanity with several major aspects occurring, including Saturn changing signs. After 2.5 years, it moves into Pisces on 6th March, but what does this mean? Valentine’s Day is perfectly positioned between the Leo Full Moon and the Pisces New Moon for maximum heart opening effect. And here Venus & Vesta discussed the loving phenomenon these two astrological events bring about and why 2023 has extra love opportunities.

The Leo Full Moon gives us plenty of opportunities for love, romance and passion, and this Leo Full Moon works with the Venus Retrograde in Leo in July and August. So, there will be plenty of time to re-align your heart and upgrade your passion projects this year.

February is a month full of opportunity to find love, enjoy the sensual pleasures of love and fall head over heels. Venus & Vesta gives us the key dates and planetary aspects that keep our hearts open for a month long Valentine’s Day. We are also in preparation for the changes due in March, including a full Moon in Leo, Mercury conjoining with Pluto, Venus meeting Neptune, a new Moon in Pisces, and Saturn and Pluto reaching the final degrees of their signs.

Mercury will overtake Pluto and head into Aquarius, this is where the people are – humanity – the cat is out of the bag now, you can’t deny what’s been seen, it’s like the veil has been taken away. Maybe there’s a real possibility of so many people understanding what does go on in Davos or the World Economic Forum or in political/corporate boardrooms where these systems that enable the huge, pointed hierarchy of the top 1% are agreed.
On the 15th February the Sun is conjuct with Saturn at 27 degrees Aquarius, this is where we’ve got to be a bit more serious and make a commitment, even if it’s the maddest thing you’ve ever done, you need to go with it. Anything can happen. This is karmic.

Aquarius is the most progressive and futuristic sign, but it also rules the angelic realm. In this episode, Venus & Vesta explores why this New Moon in Aquarius is not just a ‘new moon’, but an important doorway to bring us a step closer to the future, with the possibilities for enlightenment and the next stage of humanity.

We’re being catapulted through into a different age, a new age.
We have to evolve through the seven planetary stages and become the tenth order. This isn’t going to happen until during Earth’s Vulcan stage, which isn’t happening until 5734, so we’ve got time. But before that time, we must cultivate grace, faith, purity, charity, good will, forgiveness, and of course unconditional love. These are all things that bring us the Christ consciousness, so we are really going through Christ initiations and learning all these ideas to then process, all of us together, to become the angelic possibility in the next few thousand years.

January 12, 2023Don't Fear The Retrograde
As one by one the planets turn into a direct flow motion, we can consider what we have learned during the period. Only after the retrograde has completed, can we see where we have been directed to, as alternative to what we had in mind. Venus & Vesta explore the recent Mars Retrograde as Mars turns direct, followed by Mercury turning direct and then Uranus.

Mars is stationing at 8 degrees which has been a really important point over the last few years of these retrogrades that are all bonded together. It’s like they’re passing on the baton. If you have planets at 8 degrees, they are going to be triggered by Mars sitting at the 8 degree point in Gemini as Gemini will trine, square or oppose all the other planets. Mars will sit here for three weeks which is plenty of time to really look at what we have learned, take note and reconsider the last three months.
When Mercury goes direct in Capricorn in January, it will be at 8 degrees as well. The financial systems will continue to be changed away from the FIAT system. There’s a thrust and certainty that comes about this month. If you have any New Years’ Resolutions it’s probably wise to start them after the 22nd of January because of these retrograde planets sitting at 8 degrees.

January 05, 2023Cancer Full Moon 2023
In this episode Venus & Vesta explain the Cancer Full Moon which will occur on the 6th of January 2023. Because Cancer is one of the water signs, big, emotional, watery outbursts or sentimental drivel (whatever way you want to look at it) are to be expected – not just personally, but in the family too. This sentimentality can either be really irritating or make you feel quite lonely.

This Cancer Full Moon emphasises the domestic sphere. The full Moon is always opposite the Sun, which is in Capricorn – which is the commercial/corporate/business world, where you go out and succeed. We’re doing this for the love of our fellow man and to be with them. Cancer Full Moon is about the feminine and the mother, mother love and motherhood and why we’re feeling this big connection to our mothers and the need to be mothers and mother ourselves. It’s all going to come quite large with this full Moon, against this corporate ideal and the issues that are coming up. We’ll care more about why these are happening, how they might affect us and why we’ll feel more protective over our family and what is really happening and has been exposed by Mercury.
While people’s emotional lives are coming to the fore, there is also this idea (with Cancer) of surrendering to what is, giving it its credence and wanting to explore and process all the facets of it, go back into detail to really nurture, help and look into it. We’re potentially looking at how we care for people (the NHS) who are sick and why they’re sick. The Cancer full Moon might bring out a lot of ideas around how we care for sick people and are we doing the right thing?

On this episode Venus & Vesta explains how the January 2023 stars are really future orientated, more so than any January. This is because Mars, Mercury and then Uranus will all be going forward after their retrograde process, so that all the planets will be in forward motion. Mars moving forward is a big thrust for ideas and connections and we have been waiting for this energy to come back for three months. Also, Uranus is a crazy, unpredictable planet with eyes on the future and he rules futuristic Aquarius, so when he goes forward within a day of the New Moon in Aquarius, we really will see plans for the future being promoted or playing out.

On the 2nd and 3rd of January, the Sun in Capricorn is going to square Chiron in Aries. There’s a sense of doing the right thing and a deep sensitivity which is great for New Years Resolutions. I think we might see some talking points emerging around his dementia which hinders him from communicating or even walking up a few flights of stairs.
On the 22nd crazy planet Uranus goes direct at 14 degrees Taurus. Uranus rules Aquarius and this will be like a crazy twist of fate being thrown at us that you may not have expected… or, if you did, you’ll wonder how they pulled it off. The new Moon in Aquarius is intrinsically linked to Uranus going direct with futuristic, direct and off-beat energy around it; it's a massive curve ball. At the same time, Venus conjuncts Saturn in Aquarius. You might think Venus is all about love and Saturn is about fatherly oppressive, restrictive energy, but together they’re actually quite balanced with a commitment to affairs of the heart.

In this episode Venus & Vesta explains the phenomenon known as the solstice. Solstice literally means still sun and solstices are a special time to mark the seasons as well as the passage of time via the light and dark available on the planet. The Earth is at its most extreme direction facing away from the Sun, although closest to it, whilst in the Southern Hemisphere it is summer and the longest day, the Northern Hemisphere experiences the shortest day, a distinct lack of light in the cold winter months.

This solstice is the most extreme. It’s when the Earth has moved furthest away from the Sun, in its angle. At this furthest point it’s like a still point, and solstice does mean “still Sun”, so it’s like a reckoning, a pause between the in-out breath that we experience. Suddenly, the Earth is going to move back towards the light – in the northern hemisphere – and away in the southern hemisphere.
On the 22nd December it takes the longest time for the Earth to rotate on its axis because of the magnetic effects of the Sun, which is fantastic because we’re experiencing the shortest/longest amount of light, but it’s not in relation to the amount of time the Earth takes to do one rotation.
The northern hemisphere does experience a profound lack of sunlight, if you’re in the northern parts of Scotland or Iceland, you’ll experience around six hours of sunlight, which isn’t a lot. For the ancients, that must have been a lot of hardship to go through, to realise that they’re in much more of a hibernation – very similar to the animals – than anyone near to the equator or the southern hemisphere. Also, all of our astrology was developed by people living in the northern hemisphere experiencing the solstice from the north.
I do think we are meant to honour and respect and take notice of these Earthly cycles, whether they are new and full Moons, eclipses, solstices, equinoxes, they are moments for us to understand how we’re here, what we’re doing here, our evolution here and how we can navigate and process it more effectively with these signposts of light and dark.
