In this episode, I interview Trish Knutson. She is a registered nurse, and the owner of Mackinac Wellness Spa in Mackinac Island, Michigan. She has a background in nursing that ranges from primary care to the ICU, and also has her masters in Leadership and Administration.
Today we are discussing the topic of burnout in the medical field, specifically with nurses. Trish dives deep into some of the main barriers that held her back when leaving the bedside and finding a new non-traditional way to hone her nursing skills and expertise. We also discuss how important self-care and mindset both are in preventing medical provider/nurse burnout, and creating a professional career in medicine that aligns more with your heart.
