On this episode, Erandi (first year UvA PPLE student) and I discuss about how our upbringing in Asian communities affect our narratives about seeking help and looking into our mental health problems. We talk about how in our communities seeking help for mental health seems like a luxury, how our parent's generations grew up not being educated about mental health, and how the grind culture in our communities encourage us to ignore our personal problems.
Also important announcement as I brought up in the introduction of this episode: for EVERY LISTEN of this episode, I will be DONATING to the Community Action Fund by the organization Hate Is A Virus. So share this episode, help raise some funds, and also help raise awareness within your community!
