  • 7 Wonders of Life - Wake Up With Wonder # 35
You’ve probably heard of “The 7 Wonders of the World,” well how about the “7 Wonders of Life?”
They are so simple we seem to take them for granted all of the time. You may even for a split second have forgotten that some of them existed.

For example maybe you forget a close friend or family members birthday?

I’ve done it, so DON’T beat yourself up about it!

Here are the 7 Wonders of Life:

    Your Mother – Father – Sibling – Friend –
Life Partner – Your Children – Your Grandchildren

Taking the time to understand what makes each one of these people so WONDERFUL to you creates connection and promotes love.
Which one are you going to choose to connect deeper with and love more today?

In this episode I share a quick 10 minute exercise called “possibility pie” that creates space to truly figure out what makes each one of these people special and to help you get clear on a plan of action to regularly express your gratitude to them.

  • 8th Wonder of the World (compound interest) - episode #31
Compound interest is a powerful force; heck even Einstein argued that “it is the most powerful force in the universe.” Who would I be to argue with arguably the smartest scientist of all time.

However, I can agree with him and try to expand his definition to other factors beyond just money. Not only can compound interest benefit and impact every area of our lives (health, wealth, fitness, relationships, mindset) but it can also have a negative cost associated with it as well. Luckily, the positive effect is stronger than the negative force. In this episode the host Jason shares how he used compound interest in his fitness to rehab his elbow and get back to doing regular workouts. He also shares how daily smoothies over a couple months has impacted his grandmothers health for the better. Imagine losing your spouse over negative compound interest? We talk about that to.. If you’ve given up a positive habit or perhaps you’ve recently picked up a negative habit I’d like you to consider the cost associated with doing so. Please share this podcast with a friend who could use some inspiration. Stay tuned on Friday we will expand on this topic in the interview with Mr. Carlos Then, which will be succeeded by a month long challenge.

  • Rituals are more powerful then routine (WUWW)
Both routines and rituals are essential to achieve happiness because we need some sort of structure in our lives to keep us grounded. The difference is that routines get boring after a while and rituals create new energies, deepen our personal connections and inspire us to wonder or at bare minimum to be creative. For today’s example were going to use the example of brushing your teeth. Yes some people brush them before they eat breakfast and others brush them after they eat breakfast but that’s not the type of routines I am talking about here. Have you ever been bored while doing something as simple as brushing your teeth? Maybe catch yourself having irrelevant and dull thoughts? If so your going to want to tune into this short 10 minute episode to learn how brushing your teeth can be used to created connection, inspire, wonder, promote creativity and just flat out be fun! All ratings and reviews on ITunes are greatly appreciated as they help to spread the gift of wonder to the people who need it most. • Wondering about extreme Gratitude
Today is April 8th; it happens to be National Zoo day, national empanada day and national All is ours day. In today's episode we will talk about ways you can celebrate national all is ours day as this day is designed to create wonder by challenging us to enter into a state of extreme gratitude.
National all is ours day can be celebrated 1 of 3 ways or if you prefer you can celebrate it all 3 ways.
***If you listen to the entire podcast episode at the end of the episode I add a personal 4th way to celebrate this national holiday.***
    1.  Be in complete appreciation and gratitude for nature and in doing so you will discover the wonders of the natural world and behold its beauty.
              a. Since the world is on COVID-19 "Lockdown" this can be done by taking a walk around the block and seeking the small pieces of nature that
are so beautiful and joyous. It is spring time so I am sure there are lots of blooming flowers!
              b. Or YOU can take a virtual tour to any of the U.S. National Parks and virtually enjoy and appreciate nature.
    2. Appreciate and be grateful for everything YOU have big or small.
    3. Share the things you do have with the world. Whether it's your material objects, your prized possessions, your secret sauce or your treasures and
                      talents.
This national holiday can be celebrated individually and we can create individual gratitude, appreciation and wonder amongst our self and this day can be celebrated collectively and we can create a sort of collective sense of appreciation and wonder.
