Mother F*@k#r! I missed my commitment.... It finally happened I missed publishing my first Wonder Wednesday episode, but guess what every day has WONDER to be found. What do you do when you fail to keep one of your commitments, to yourself, to your loved ones or to the world???
Its not an excuse but with all the chaos and darkness going on around the world right now its easy to get caught up in the anger, sadness & destruction going on around us. It's easy to let darkness get inside of us & rob of us of our joy, our presence, our power and our WONDER.
That's what happened to me for a few days, I was unable to find any Wonder in the present circumstances. I got comfortable & skipped a workout, which led to a lazy weekend of homework, which led to a total CHEAT day where I ate whatever the heck I wanted & that led to me just wanting to party & celebrate on St. Patricks day.... On Wednesday I woke up ready to slide deeper into darkness, ready to skip my 5am workout & morning routine. I was tempted to crawl back in bed but instead decided to scroll Instagram for some motivation & as I did I came across my friends page @Mr_Then and saw that he had posted the #MindRightChallenge
Whether I was going to do the challenge or not I paused and I decided to meditate because I knew I needed to feel my feelings & get my mind right. After doing so the challenge was just the opportunity I needed to create Wonder by looking forward to the present to a time in 2021 after all this has passed after we have gotten the opportunity to get through this together. Before writing the letter I embraced the darkness, I breathed into my heart &allowed myself the space to feel all of my feelings. I felt the fear, the sadness, the anger, the confusion, the guilt and the shame. Once lifted these feelings created a new fire a new commitment; my sense of Wonder had returned even stronger than before.
In this episode I go deeper around my feelings & revelations from this experience plus I share the new commitment I have made as a result of doing that exercise. Don't worry Wonder Wednesday will still very much be a thing!

I am so proud of you for having survived a difficult time not only in your life but all around the world. During the hysteria & panic of the corona virus and the economy crashing you did your best to remain calm & grounded. You showed up daily for yourself & for others. You showed kindness, compassion & empathy to yourself, to strangers & to your loved ones. Not only were you a lighthouse shining light & hope from your place of peace but you were also human & allowed yourself to feel all your feelings. I am proud of how rather than choosing to escape & hide you chose to connect & be you. Great job at leading your children during this time while they were out of school; you showed them that there can be a balance between structure & playfulness. I am thankful that you were able to set aside your differences with friends & loved ones so that not only would they be free to grow and flourish but you would as well. Thank you from the bottom of my heart that during this trying season you never gave up, you kept your faith, you remained hopeful & you continued to inspire Wonder in the hearts of others.
