Over eight years and going strong!  With over 1M downloads from over 18 countries and 7 continents’…. this is the Warrior Mind Podcast.

In this episode of the Warrior Mind Podcast, I’m going to go over how to be on time and stop being late for personal success.

    How to Be on Time!

While occasionally being late for events, workdays and even schooldays is normal, constantly running late may be a sign of a deeper issue in your life. Lateness is a minor issue when it happens once in a while. People will overlook this type of infraction with time schedules. Tardiness on a severe level, though, turns into a major issue not just for you, but also for those who depend on you at the final destination.

Chronic lateness is a daily occurrence with some people. Tardiness such as this can catch up with you after a while if you do not find a way to change it. Remember, we live in a society that expects better of you than running late constantly everywhere you journey on a regular basis. When you do not change this behavior, it can cause issues such as job loss, school suspension, or in some cases, loss of friends. You develop a reputation for being the late one instead for your many positive attributes.

Diana DeLonzer, a management consultant and author of “Never Be Late Again”, states, “Most people truly hate arriving late and have made attempts to change this habit.” Prior to writing her book about it, Diane suffered from lateness no matter how she tried to change it. She also says, “People, who are punctual, often do not understand the issue. They assume you are being controlling or are just inconsiderate or selfish. However, the issue may go deeper than this.”

Luckily, there are ways to improve your behavior! You must first discover why you are running late all the time, though, to understand the other steps to take. We provide valuable insight into these actions that are causes for people’s lateness in the following information.

Research on Lateness in the Workplace

Jeff Conte, Ph.D., who is an associate psychology professor with the San Diego State University, performed research on this lateness habit in a workplace setting. He states, “This habit points to various personality characteristics influencing those who are continually late. Chronic lateness as a result may be extremely difficult for some people to overcome.” Do not be scared off by this statement, as you can still change your habit of running late with the right knowledge and effort.

    Why Are You Chronically Late?

Keith Ablow, M.D., author of Always Late? Find Out Why, states, “There are three distinct possibilities for people running chronically late. Avoiding anxiety, making a power statement and a need to know he or she is loved.” Let’s examine these causes for lateness closer on top or possible other causes to learn additional information.

    Ways On Running Late

    * Avoiding Anxiety – Many late runners use tardiness to avoid anxiety by arriving late to the event or other functions. People like this are nervous in the particular places they need to travel and avoid the stress by delaying their departure to the point they wind up running late. What they fail to realize is that they cause stress for others through this action!

  • Reinvent Yourself to Increase Self-Image: Warrior Mind Podcast #542

Over eight years and going strong!  With over 1M downloads from over 18 countries and 7 continents’…. this is the Warrior Mind Podcast.

In this episode of the Warrior Mind Podcast, I’m going to go over how to reinvent yourself to increase your self-image for peak performance.

    Reinvent Yourself to Increase Self-Image

You might have discovered lately that you aren’t feeling as positive as you could about yourself. Maybe you’re disappointed in how you look or some of the emotions you feel. Your attitude might slip a bit at times and you find yourself making self-deprecating statements to others.

How can you get out of this rut and reinvigorate how you feel about yourself?

These strategies will help you get back on track and increase your self-esteem:

    * It’s time to take a good, long look at yourself. Although it might be scary or even a bit disappointing, the sooner you do it, the quicker you’ll be able to get yourself back on track.

Enjoy this Podcast on how Reinvent Yourself to Increase Self-Image

More on how to Reinvent Yourself to Increase Self-Image

    * How’s your physical appearance? Consider any changes you’d like to make to how you look. It’s common to go through life phases when you don’t take the care with yourself that you usually do. For many, a new haircut and some extra attention to personal grooming goes miles toward increasing self-esteem.* Look at yourself with a kind eye and make some decisions on what you can realistically and financially do to improve your appearance. As you probably already know, your appearance is paramount to how you feel about yourself. Improving your appearance most likely means you’ll improve your self-esteem.* Recognize your strong points. Although your mind hasn’t been in a place to really notice what you’re good at, take some time now to do just that. Maybe you’re a great cook, wonderful with kids, and the hardest worker at the office. Every single person has strong points and it’s important for you to know what yours are.* Remind yourself what you truly love about you. Maybe it’s the way your green eyes shine or your red hair makes your facial features stand out. Perhaps you’re consistent about doing exercise or you’re brilliant at keeping the conversation going. You’re even in awe of the patience you have with others or your willingness to step up and volunteer to help out others.* When it comes to you, what are you the most proud of? What do you consider your greatest achievements? We all have something to be proud of. Figure out the things about you that you take pride in to raise your self-esteem a few notches.* Maybe you keep an organized house or wash your dad’s car every week without fail.* Perhaps you write a good story or can keep your cool when your kids are acting out.* Did you work your way through college without any help or support from others?* Maybe your wife hasn’t ever had to scrape the ice off her car windows because you always do it for her.* Accept compliments openly. Make eye contact, smile, and say, “thank you” whenever people pay you a compliment. After all, people aren’t going to go to the time and trouble to pay you a compliment unless they believe you deserve it. Relish in the good things about you that others notice. Embrace those positive comments. Doesn’t it feel great?

You can reinvent yourself by taking steps to increase your self-esteem. Look within yourself to evaluate what you need to feel better about yourself.

  • 4 Ways to Build Your Willpower: Warrior Mind Podcast #541

Over eight years and going strong!  With over 1M downloads from over 18 countries and 7 continents’…. this is the Warrior Mind Podcast.

In this episode of the Warrior Mind Podcast, I’m going to go over 4 Ways to Build Your Willpower for personal success.

4 Ways to Build Your Willpower

Usually when we hear the word “willpower,” we relate it to losing weight or quitting smoking.Willpower is extremely helpful when trying to break those bad habits, but it can also be beneficial in other areas of your life as well.

It’s important to realize that we’re not born with willpower; it’s something we must nurture and build in ourselves. Once we strengthen our willpower, it’ll provide us an upper hand in achieving our goals. Why? Because we’ll develop an unshakeable focus and intensity in purpose!

So how do you go about building your willpower?

Here are four strategies to get you headed in the right direction:

    * Commitment. You must be committed to reaching your goals. If you’re not completely committed to what you want to accomplish, there’s no way you’ll be able to develop any willpower.

    * To be successful in achieving your goals, you mustn’t harbor any second thoughts, excuses, or doubts. Be honest with yourself and know that this is something you truly want to see through until the end.

    * Remember, just having the desire will not guarantee accomplishment. You can desire something without firm commitment, so be sure to distinguish between the two and take the appropriate actions.

Enjoy this Podcast on 4 Ways to Build Your Willpower

More on the 4 Ways to Build Your Willpower

    * Call on your inner strength. Building your willpower takes perseverance. This is a time to call on your inner strength – that extra push you need to get through the difficult times.

    * You’ve made a commitment to take a journey to strengthen your willpower and accomplish your most challenging goals – this is great! The truth is, you’ll have many days of success, but there will also be days that aren’t as triumphant. It’s on those not-so-good days that you can call on your inner strength to get you back on track.

    * Everyone has an inner strength and most of us have used it on more than one occasion. Trust in it and it will get you through the rough spots!

    * Ask for support. Building your willpower to achieve a goal is a large undertaking. Sometimes it can be overwhelming. This is why it’s so imperative that we have support during this time.

    * Entrust a friend, spouse, or parent with what you’re trying to accomplish. That way, when you hit a stumbling block, you have someone you trust to get you back on the right track.

    * Your support system will help you through the hard times and celebrate your successes with you.

    * Be consistent. If you have the willpower to stop smoking for one week, that’s wonderful and should be celebrated. But the only way you’re going to build your willpower is to do whatever it takes to avoid cigarettes today, tomorrow, and forever. Then soon enough you’ll be celebrating two weeks, two months, two years, and then forever!

    * This strategy applies to any goal that you’re seriously trying to accomplish.

  • Find Your Way Back From Burnout: Warrior Mind Podcast #539

Over eight years and going strong!  With over 1M downloads from over 18 countries and 7 continents’…. this is the Warrior Mind Podcast.

In this episode of the Warrior Mind Podcast, I’m going to discuss 14 Ways to Find Your Way Back From Burnout.

14 Ways to Find Your Way Back From Burnout

Preventing burnout protects your overall health and your career. However, if the way you work changed radically over the past year, your old defenses may not be enough.

How do you know if you’re burned out?

Some of the most common signs include depression, irritability, and lack of motivation. You feel tired and unable to control your circumstances. Your physical health can be affected too, putting you at increased risk for heart conditions and diabetes.

If you’re feeling down and your productivity has dropped, you can recover. Try these 14 strategies for bouncing back from burnout.

    Fighting Burnout During Work Hours:

    * Evaluate your expectations. Burnout is often caused by pushing yourself too hard for too long. Look at your to do list and see what you can eliminate or delegate. Focus on your top priorities.* Set goals. Working towards something you want to achieve provides instant inspiration. Break long term objectives down into daily and weekly targets, so you’ll keep building momentum.* Limit distractions. Burnout makes it difficult to concentrate. Create quiet spaces where you can work at the office or at home. Turn off your phone and stay away from websites and apps where you tend to lose track of time.

Enjoy this Podcast on 14 Ways to Find Your Way Back From Burnout.

More on the 14 Ways to Find Your Way Back From Burnout.

    * Find allies. Do you feel isolated or have more conflicts with your coworkers? Burnout can take a toll on your relationships. Participate in social activities at work. If you feel safe, talk with your boss or a trusted colleague about what you’re going through.* Have fun. Brighten up your workday. Join the party planning committee. Pass along a funny joke or an intriguing news story.* Pace yourself. How many hours are you working a week? Research shows that excess overtime lowers your performance. You’re more likely to succeed with a 35-to-40-hour week.* Take time off. It may help to get away from your routines for a while. If possible, use your vacation days to visit family and friends in another city. If you’re short on leave, you could try a spa day at home or check into a local hotel for the weekend.* Be patient. Burnout often builds up gradually and it may take a while to turn things around. Give yourself credit for making an effort. Appreciate signs of gradual progress.

Fighting Burnout Outside of Work Hours:

    * Address root causes. While there are many things you can do to cope with burnout temporarily, lasting change depends on resolving the source of your troubles. Maybe it’s an event at work, or maybe it has more to do with your disposition or personal life.

    * Set boundaries. Remote work blurs the line between business and leisure activities. Try to keep office items out of your bedroom. Let your job know the hours when you’re unavailable.* Sleep well. Go to bed on time, so you can wake up feeling refreshed. Stick to a consistent schedule, even on weekends and holidays.* Work out. Physical activity relieves stress and gives you more energy. Design a balanced program of cardio exercise, strength training, and stretches.

  • Become a Scientist of Your Life: Warrior Mind Podcast #538

Over eight years and going strong!  With over 1M downloads from over 18 countries and 7 continents’…. this is the Warrior Mind Podcast.

In this episode of the Warrior Mind Podcast, I’m going to discuss how to become a scientist of your life and discover what really works for you.

Become a Scientist of Your Life

A good scientist wants to know the truth. They aren’t concerned with their ego. You can be a scientist of life. It’s your job to figure out what works and what doesn’t.

Fortunately, there are books available on nearly every subject written by experts. However, these just provide a starting point. It’s up to you to see if the information and advice of the experts actually works for you.

Once you know what works for you, life becomes much easier!

Follow this process to become a scientist of your life:

    * Have an effective mindset. The right mindset can make all the difference. Life is challenging when you view your results as a measure of your value. Instead, consider your results to be a measure of the correctness of your approach.

    * For example, following a bad recipe doesn’t make you a horrible chef. It just means you need a better recipe.* When you experience poor results, look for a more effective method of accomplishing that objective.* A scientist experiments. Being a scientist of life requires experimentation. There’s no reason to take any of it personally.

Enjoy this Podcast on How to Become a Scientist of Your Life

More on How to Become a Scientist of Your Life

    * Choose an area of your life that could use some work. A scientist isn’t conducting a bunch of unrelated experiments. They focus on one thing at a time. Choose a part of your life that needs help and put all of your efforts there.* Learn. Become an expert. If your challenge is financial, become a financial expert. Read books. Study those that have become successful but started from circumstances similar to yours.* However, avoid getting stuck in this phase. You can’t be successful if you never experiment.* Formulate a hypothesis. Suppose you have a consulting business, and you want to find more clients by making cold calls. Your hypothesis might be that a particular cold-calling script is better than your current script.* Create an experiment. Your experiment would be to determine which script is better. What are the results of your current script? How many calls will it take to get a new client? It depends on your typical success rate. As a general rule, the greater the sample size, the more reliable the results.* Decide to make the same number of calls with the new script. You can then compare the results fairly.* Test your hypothesis. Now, all you have to do is execute your experiment. Make all of your calls and gather your data. Your results depend on the quality of your data, so pay attention to what you’re doing and record the results of each call accurately.* Evaluate your results. Determine which is better. The old script might be better, and that’s fine. The new script might be better, and that’s great! You’ve just discovered a way to increase your business and your income.* Repeat. Develop a new script and repeat the process. This can go on for as long as you like. You can continue to improve for as long as you choose. Eventually, it would be best to move on to another part of your life that could use a boost.

What could be simpler? Dispassionately experiment with your life.

Over eight years and going strong!  With over 1M downloads from over 18 countries and 7 continents’…. this is the Warrior Mind Podcast.

In this episode of the Warrior Mind Podcast, I’m going to review 10 Powerful Words to Keep You Motivated and keep you going for personal success.

Top 10 Powerful Words to Keep You Motivated

No matter where you are on your life journey, setbacks can cause disappointment and a loss of momentum.

Whether it’s a new career you’re working towards or an overall appreciation of life, every step towards fulfillment can seem financially, emotionally, or psychologically draining from time to time.

To boost your confidence, here’s a list of the top 10 power words and tips to keep you motivated and passionate, no matter what life throws your way:

    * Purpose. Whenever you’re feeling discouraged or disappointed, always remember your original purpose. Reminding yourself of the original reason for venturing down your path in the first place will help refresh your mind when things go awry.* Planning. Though you may think that you’ve done enough planning towards the fulfillment of your goal, thinking it through again will help eliminate aspects of your plan of action that may be causing you setbacks. Put all your thoughts down on paper, from the smallest details to the larger movements.* Being able to see the timeline of your mission will help you focus on taking one step at a time to reach your goals.

More about 10 Powerful Words to Keep You Motivated

    * Acceptance. Accepting that you’re a human being who’s bound to have ups and downs is absolutely crucial to your success. Without this self-acceptance, you’ll be subject to a foggy mind that’s unable to think positively, clearly, and innovatively.* Acceptance of what hasn’t worked in the past helps you gain a better knowledge of what will work in the future.* Reward. When your motivation starts to wean, it’s crucial to give yourself rewards along the way. This is one of the best ways to stay motivated on your path to success.* By giving yourself a taste of what you’re working for – whether it’s financial freedom, career responsibility, or your dream lifestyle – you won’t feel like you’re working so hard for nothing. This refreshes your mind and helps you work more productively.

    * Health. You know what this entails: moderate exercise, a healthy diet, and 7-8 hours of sleep per night. Feeling worn-down will make it almost impossible to pursue your goals and vision with the same clarity and vigor you had when you first set out.* Take care of your basic needs first, and you’ll be strong enough to pursue your dreams.* Motivation. Research motivational books, CDs, and seminars. Sometimes hearing motivational tips from a different perspective can greatly motivate you to act and succeed.* Find a source or two that touches you in some way and keep them close for those moments when you feel discouraged. After all, we all get discouraged at one time or another.* Organization. Ever feel depressed and worn out, and then you clean your surroundings and instantly feel more focused and motivated? The same applies to your goal. Organize and clean house when it comes to the operation of your goal.* Organizing yourself gives you a fresh start and a feeling of clarity. In doing so, you’ll be able to attack your short and long-term goals more vigorously and effectively.

    * Refresh.

  • Unconscious Mind And Your Comfort Zone: Warrior Mind Podcast #536

Over eight years and going strong!  With over 1M downloads from over 18 countries and 7 continents’…. this is the Warrior Mind Podcast.

In this episode of the Warrior Mind Podcast, I’m going to discuss The Unconscious Mind and Your Comfort Zone and how to avoid it.

The Unconscious Mind And Your Comfort Zone

There is nothing more damaging in a person’s journey to success than their comfort zone. When we start to feel comfortable and safe with what we have, we start to lose our drive to achieve more and we get stuck in a perpetual state of denial.

The problem with being in a comfort zone is that taking risks becomes too difficult because you are afraid of losing what you have, even if you know you could do much better. The fear of losing a lifestyle that makes you feel unaccomplished can be bigger than the desire to create a better life.

How to recognize the limitations of your comfort zone

    * It makes it hard for you to capitalize on good opportunities* It keeps you from improving your skills* It limits your ability to become a stronger person* It forces you to forget about your personal goals* It limits your networking reach* It keeps you from trying new things* It limits the way you see relationships

Being able to change your unconscious mind is going to create a mindset that leads to success. There are many beliefs that lead to bad decisions and we often have to find out the hard way. The good news is that this can stop if you make a conscious decision to leave your comfort zone behind.

Enjoy this Podcast on The Unconscious Mind And Your Comfort Zone

Some of the benefits of changing your unconscious mind include:

    * More clarity when working on your projects* An easier time figuring out your next business move* A constant feeling of discomfort with things that used to feel comfortable* The confidence to take calculated risks* The courage to leave your comfort zone

Your unconscious mind is the backbone of every decision you make in life. Your mindset is going to be extremely counterproductive if you don’t deal with the negative things that you haven’t been unable to overcome.

You are often going to feel discomfort when you try to do anything new, but this is caused by a negative mindset and it is your responsibility to identify this issue and work on improvement.

We are all aware of a bad mindset when we have it, but it can be hard to take action and make some drastic changes in our lives. The process of pushing ourselves further away from our comfort zones is the ticket to a successful life.

It’s always easier to leave things as they are in your life even if you are unhappy. Some people are so terrified of change that they are willing to stay in stressful situations just to avoid risking what they have.

Ask yourself an important question. Do you feel like you did everything you needed to do in order to improve your mindset?

Once you can flip the switch on your mindset, you will start to take more calculated risks. Then you will begin to live your life the way you did before it was cluttered with negativity and limiting beliefs.

It may seem impossible right now, but all it takes is for you to reflect on the problems that your comfort zone has brought to your life, and how things can continue to worsen if you don’t make a conscious decision to change....

  • Overcome Burnout and Ignite Your Life: Warrior Mind Podcast #535

Over eight years and going strong!  With over 1M downloads from over 18 countries and 7 continents’…. this is the Warrior Mind Podcast.

In this episode of the Warrior Mind Podcast, I’m going to discuss how to overcome burnout and rejuvenate your life for personal success.

Overcome Burnout and Ignite Your Life

We’ve all been there. Things are tough at work, and they’re not going much better at home. You’re stressed, you can’t sleep, and your dog ran away from home. Sometimes, it just seems like there aren’t enough hours in the day.

It can be hard to stop the negative thought patterns that only serve to make you feel even worse.

Stress is a part of life, but there are times it can get completely out of hand. When life seems too hard to handle, it’s time to take back some control. Luckily, there are many ways to accomplish this.

Use these ideas to put mental and physical burnout behind you:

    * Clean up your diet. When you’re feeling burned out, it can help to eat a healthier diet. Junk food creates more stress and load for your body to deal with. Cutting back on your calories and providing quality nutrition to your body can make a positive difference.

    * Get more sleep. Working harder or longer isn’t a solution for your burnout. Sometimes, the best option is to call it a night a couple of hours earlier than normal and get some extra rest. Allow yourself to sleep in on the weekends if you need to. Take naps. Rest helps.

Enjoy this Podcast on How to Overcome Burnout and Rejuvenate Your Life

More on the Tips on How to Overcome Burnout and Rejuvenate Your Life

    * Avoid caffeine. Caffeine is the last thing you need if you’re feeling frazzled. Caffeine stimulates your body and your mind. It can create more challenges than it solves.* Meditate. Meditation, listening to relaxing music, praying, or anything else that relaxes your mind can be beneficial. Avoid ruminating over the challenges in your life. Your brain doesn’t get a break unless you create one.

    * Give yourself a change of scenery. It’s easy to get stuck in a rut when the scenery never changes. Being in the same couple of places day after day can limit your perspective and close your mind to the many possibilities that are open to you. Take a weekend and go camping.* Spend time with people you genuinely like. This has been shown to be one of the best ways to recover from mental burnout. Spending time with someone that makes you smile and feel relaxed can be the best medicine.* Evaluate your life. Consider how you came to be in this situation. Do you need to make some changes at work, a different job, or a more satisfying relationship? Could it help you to speak to a professional? What needs to happen to prevent the same situation from happening again?* Avoid starting anything new. You already have enough on your plate. Avoid adding even more! Get a handle on your current situation first. Taking on more responsibilities will be challenging during this time.* Laugh. Laughing will always make you feel better. Who’s your funniest friend? What’s the funniest movie you’ve ever seen? How can you make yourself laugh? A night of laughter will give you a mental reset and put you in a better position to handle the challenges in your life.

    * Find your Passion.  There is nothing worse than having to wake up every morning during the week to mindlessly go do work you don’t care about or that you feel isn’t adding anything to the ...

Over eight years and going strong!  With over 1M downloads from over 18 countries and 7 continents’…. this is the Warrior Mind Podcast.

In this episode of the Warrior Mind Podcast, I’m going to discuss How to Increase Your Mental Fitness for personal success.

How to Increase Your Mental Fitness

Have you ever noticed you don’t feel quite as mentally sharp when you do the same mundane things day in and day out? This is actually physically true. If you use your brain for new tasks, it gets sharper.

Our brains have an ability to actually change structure and physiology in response to new stimuli and challenges. To give your mind this kind of food for growth, try some of the suggestions below.

    * Play mental games. Crosswords, brain teasers, mazes, Sudoku, and other puzzles are all effective ways to challenge your mind. So try something new and really give your brain a workout. Even the occasional video game has something to offer.

    * These are especially good if they’re new experiences for you. Someone just beginning crossword puzzles is going to experience more improvement in mental fitness than someone that has been doing them for years.

    * Exercise regularly. Moving your body during exercise accomplishes many things:* The brain is forced to send stronger impulses to your muscles when moving vigorously or against resistance.* The coordination required and the use of muscles not normally used both challenge the brain.* The flow of blood and nutrients through the brain is increased.

    * Play music. Learning a new musical instrument is a great way to challenge your mental fitness. This is particularly true for someone who has never played a musical instrument.

    * Learning musical theory is like learning a new language. Not only is music an enjoyable way to spend free time, but it’s also great for your brain. Now might be the perfect time to pull out the phone book and look into piano or violin lessons.* Meditate your way to mental fitness. Meditation challenges your brain by creating a new mental state. It’s relaxing, plus it teaches your mind the ability to focus, which is a huge task for many of us. Meditation is a great way to improve mental fitness.

    * Read something new every day. Reading is a complicated mental process that requires processing information quickly. Try reading something new that interests you. You’ll get the added benefit of novelty, enhance your brain function, and learn something as well.* Challenge your memory. Each day, take a minute and try to remember the previous day. What did you have for lunch? What happened at work? Try to remember what you did last weekend. What happened last Christmas?* Make a list of 10 items and then see if you can remember them without cheating! Part of the memory loss sometimes associated with aging is due to not using our powers of recollection on a regular basis.* Watch less television. You’ll be amazed how much better you feel in every way if you watch less TV. You can do so many things to improve your mind and body that you’ll never get around to if you’re watching too much TV. They don’t call it the idiot box for nothing.

  • Mental Strength And Physical Fitness: Warrior Mind Podcast #533

Over eight years and going strong!  With over 1M downloads from over 18 countries and 7 continents’…. this is the Warrior Mind Podcast.

In this episode of the Warrior Mind Podcast, I’m going to discuss the correlation between physical fitness and mental strength for personal success.

Develop Mental Strength Through Physical Fitness

Although different aspects of your being operate independently, they’re still connected. At some point, they come together to create the best being possible. That explains why your physical and mental states are co-related. Balance in one area is easily transferred to another.

Are you experiencing situations that put a strain on your mental processes? Do you feel stressed out and unable to make decisions? Mental strength can be difficult to acquire, but it’s much easier if you focus on achieving physical fitness first.

By ensuring your body is strong, challenged, and fully tuned, you can encourage mental toughness and realize awesome physical achievements.

Try these strategies to strengthen both your mental and physical fitness:

    * Make your workouts uncomfortable. It’s important to challenge yourself. Instead of doing what you know you can, test your limits. Keep changing the game so you build determination.

Develop an indomitable spirit by jogging outdoors during winter instead of on the treadmill. It’s easy and comfortable to use the treadmill. Running outside in cold climates tests your limits. It also allows you to feel confident in your abilities when you succeed.

Fitness challenges help you transfer that confidence and determination to other parts of your life. Uncomfortable life situations can really take a toll. But you’ve already overcome fitness challenges. Now, you can use those victories to equip you with coping mechanisms for mentally challenging situations.

    2. Participate in physical competitions. Competitions are usually intimidating, especially if you have a formidable opponent. But as you participate in more competitions, your self-esteem develops at the same time.

Invite someone who is better at a challenge than you to a contest. Having that person as an opponent helps you readily identify your shortcomings and strengthen your skills. As you compete, you come to terms with your abilities. And although you may be less impressive than your opponent, you can truly develop an appreciation for the level you’ve reached.

In all your competitions, avoid allowing pride to push you beyond your limits. You probably want to prove that you’re solid competition. But avoid doing so at risk of hurting yourself physically.

3, Take part in speed training. You may have other strong suits that don’t include being fast on your feet. But you’d be surprised how much speed training can help you mentally. Practicing sprints and trying to shorten reaction time can help you work more efficiently.

When you develop a quick reaction time, it’s easier for you to make good decisions under pressure.

Speed training also helps you to work quickly and accurately. It’s great if you can speed through tasks.
