Washington jumped out to a 17-10 first half lead as Sam Howell threw 2 touchdown passes.  Antonio Gibson and Curtis Samuel caught the passes as the Commanders had only their 2nd halftime lead of the season.

The second half was a struggle.  And somehow the beleaguered Washington defense stood tall and intercepted Falcons 2nd year quarterback Desmond Ridder 3 times and outscored them 7-6 to hold on to the victory.

There were many heroes and still some things to work on but it was a much needed victory for the Commanders.  Let’s gooooooo!
