It's finally happened! A Watch/Skip+ episode that is shorter than 90 minutes! Surprising that a Steven Soderbergh film was what did the trick, but there you go. The Boys wrestle with their feelings for the iconic director while reviewing the apparently final chapter in the male stripper trilogy, "Magic Mike's Last Dance." Was it worthy of the director's return (and of the classic Donna Summers song)? Before finding that out, Cupcake pluses an eco-friendly cleaning product, while the Cinemasochist discusses the announcement of a film very similar to "Skinamarink."

Watch/Skip+ BINGO is in EFFECT! (Thanks again Kevin from "Raiders of the Podcast")
The Boyz welcome back the Death By DVD guys to discuss the Fantasia Fest breakout/Shudder exclusive streaming film "Skinamarink" written and directed by short-film creator Kyle Thomas Ball. With its viral marketing and sensational pull quotes ("uniquely terrifying", "unsettling and haunting"), is its experimental nature polarizing or is this indeed THE horror event must-see? This episode streams along like you are right in the room conversing; so soak it in and listen as Harry plus's a noted and prolific Japanese director/performer, Linus supports another experimental thriller poised to hit the States soon, The Cinemasochist delivers a Bingo square review (hint: lights out...men in tights), and Cupcake plus's his new phone (#TeamPixel) and laments the current state of podcasting.

The Boys fly solo this week as they dip their toes into the body horror pool of “Infinity Pool,” the latest film from Brandon Cronenberg. How does this film stack up in the immense Cronenberg legacy? Not only do we answer that question, we beg many questions about what this strange film means regarding humanity, morality, and art. Before waxing philosophically, Jose pluses some of his favorite New Zealand shows while Justin shares his thoughts on another Cronenberg film that shares a lot of parallel with this week’s featured film. Stay tuned near the end for something very special!

Episode 24 has the Boys trying to find the final verdict in "Missing", the "Screenlife" spiritual sequel to the similar "desktop movie "Searching" (2018). Joining them is new guest E.f Contentment ("Exiled from Contentment" as his blog and IG are titled) who is a natural for the show. Listen as they wax poetic about their age, social media, David Cronenberg, and the "cinema sins" of "Missing", and whether it's a Watch or a Skip for theatrical viewing. Cupcake and E.f. both have Regal Cinema related Plus's, while The Cinemasochist tributes a gone-too-soon wrestling star.

It’s the first Watch/Skip+ & Death by DVD crossover of 2023! We can all thank Blumhouse for this occasion, as their new evil doll horror comedy "M3GAN" brought Harry and Linus into the embracing arms of Jose & Justin. The technophobic thriller produced a healthy discussion on the dangers of technology overload, as well as a new rating that caused a laughing fit (kept in for your enjoyment). Before getting there, Cupcake plused a film of striking similarity, while the Cinemasochist joined the guests in a first-ever super-plus to discuss a new iteration on a long-standing franchise.
2023 brings the return of Cupcake.....because Watch Skip Singular is BACK!
Cupcake is joined by the Flickboxer himself, Brian (previously guest-pod'd on Watch/Skip+ "Samaritan" and 'Hellraiser"), and the dynamic duo review the new streaming Peacock Original "Sick" written by the "Scream" master himself - Kevin Williamson. At a breezy 83 minutes, the pandemic set slasher dropped on Friday the 13th with very little advanced notice or PR. Gimmick? Or did Blumhouse and KevWilliamson have something more in mind? Get us in your ears and find out which one of us is the first to make the meta-connection and whether this is a Watch or a Skip.
Watch/Skip+'s 22nd episode, the 2nd of '23 (NUMEROGLOGY!) sees the Boys opening their hearts and eyes to the Netflix's streaming original "The Pale Blue Eye" starring Christian Bale, Harry Melling, and Gillian Anderson, directed by (the devastatingly cute, kinda actor-y, almost certainly directorially talented) Scott Cooper. Warning: You may get whiplash when one of the Watch/Skip'ers prattles on and on about negatives but votes the film a "Watch". Get us in your ears to find out just WHO and WHY. Before that, The Cinemasochist talks about....what else....wrasslin', while Cupcake plus's a deadline. Additional caution is warranted: some celebrity impressions included.
It's a new year and The Boys are celebrating by welcoming Brad from the wonderful Not a Bomb podcast onto the show to review Netflix's big holiday release, "Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery." We discuss everything from the ensemble cast, the mechanics of murder mysteries, the appeal of broad comedy, and the strange limited theatrical window that Netflix grants to certain films. Before that, Brad pluses a revisit of a classic sci-fi show, Jose touts the benefits of a probiotic supplement, and Justin pays his respect to a fallen voice in pro wrestling.

For the last episode of 2022 (#20in2022)...The Watch/Skippers take on the A-list star studded, much anticipated, Hollywood hey-day set "Babylon" directed by young Oscar winner Damian Chazelle. At nearly three hours in length and with a puzzling marketing campaign (looks like "Moulin Rouge"...plays like something completely different), is this a soon-to-be cult classic revered for its rich cinematography and balls-out (literally given the first 30 minutes!) storytelling and bravura, swing for the fences performances by performers, new and veteran? Or is this indeed the biggest bomb of 2022 - a chaotic, unfocused mess of a movie, made as a middle finger to the industry? Get us in your ears and find out (Hold onto your bucket hats: You'll be VERY surprised who says "watch" and who says "skip). Before that, The Cinemasochist provides a cautionary tale about how winter and technology can be bad bedfellows, and Cupcake discusses his epic rewatch of a vaunted and much celebrated series (hint: WHERE ARE MY DRAGONS?!!?!).
As the holidays start ramping up and the year starts drawing to a close, the Boys head back to the theater to cover the most expensive film ever made, James Cameron's long-awaited sequel, "Avatar: The Way of Water." The visual tentpole picture produced a girthy discussion on 3D, IMAX, special effects, the sequel gap, heady themes, and what constitutes art & experimentation. Before diving in (see what we did there?), Cupcake pluses a unique clothing item that may suspend your belief, while the Cinemasochist pluses a fluffy video game that unintentionally causes a giggle fit.
