WE ARE BACK IN A FLASH WITH A NEW EPISODE!

On this packed episode, The Boys and TWO….count ‘em….two guests take on the DCEU/Snyderverse cap film before the Gunn-led DCU (confused yet?) “The Flash” directed by Andy mus-key-YE-ti and starring Ezra Miller, Michael Keaton, and Ben Affleck. Joining Cupcake and Red are our favorite, most frequent guest Masaki (AKA Landon AKA Son of Sam U. Rai) and Brian (AKA Flickboxer AKA LuckKey Find Comics). Multiple guests with multiple nicknames wearing multiple hats reviewing a film about multiple timelines and multiverses featuring multi-Batman, multi-Flash’es, and multi-Supermen and women….it kinda feels like kismet. Is this a flawed but zippy and fast comic book extravaganza (as "fast" as two and half hours can be)? Or did shenanigans off screen, above and below the line, destroy the potential of the closing chapter of the" now dead" Snyderverse?

Watch/Skippers, roll out! The Boys tackle the seventh (!) movie in the lucrative blockbuster “Transformers” franchise, “Rise of the Beasts.” Do either Red or Cupcake consider themselves fans of the series (be it the films, the show, the comics, or toys)? If not, did this latest installment convert them? Is Machine Gun Jelly a transformer in disguise?

Since this week's film, "Spiderman: Across the Spiderverse," is a living, breathing comic book movie, they called upon their comic book compatriot, Masaki, to join in on the fun. Before spinning their opinions on the anticipated sequel to "Into the Spiderverse," Landon has two pluses to rock out to, Red explains how a 24-hour marathon caused him to lose his voice, and Jose recommends a free show to binge.

It is only fitting that The Boys cover “The Machine” this week, as its star, Bert Kreischer, is a popular comedian most known for his podcast appearances. Did that surface level simpatico generate enthusiasm for his film? Given how long Cupcake and the Cinemasochist ramble on prior to getting to the review proper, I think you can already guess the outcome.

The near hourlong rambling consists of Jose’s plus of a healthy Kickstarter campaign he contributed to, Justin’s plus of an astoundingly awful film from an auteur, and the two constantly getting sidetracked in the cast & crew breakdown on projects and Russian culture that they’re passionate about.

The Boys gas up the podcast and race into reviewing the Xth sequel in the long-running Fast and the Furious franchise. TEN films in the series, will Fast X herald the reinvigoration of the fast cars/fast heists/sexy and fast actors and quite furious franchise or is it time to yank out the engine, put this car up on bricks, and end this "quarter mile" lifestyle? WARNING: this episode may or may not contain surprising and unexpected bickering, frustration, and expletive laden diatribes from one of the hosts. Before that, Justin talks a new imprinting procedure he had done, and Jose attempts to talk about a streaming club that you don't talk about whilst attempting to NOT violate his NDA.

It’s time once again for the Boys to enter uncharted waters. Last month it was in animation (Super Mario Bros. Movie). This month, it’s the documentary pool. They eased themselves in with “Living with Chucky,” a personal retrospective on the “Child’s Play” franchise, which both hosts have professed their love for numerous times on the show. Did Kyra Gardner’s project fill the life-long fans with enthusiasm?

Before finding that out, Cupcake and the Cinemasochist havetwo pluses each to discuss. Jose starts with the miraculous (and pricey) procurement of a long-searched for DVD (hint: it’s a Bingo piece), then switches gears to an inspirational interview from a popular actor (hint: think HBO). Justin first gives a shout out to a close friend’s recent television success, then reviews a film he’s been putting off since the start of this show (hint: it’s also a Bingo piece).

THE BOYS ARE BACK!!!! After a week off (and one WSS episode later), the Cinemasochist and Cupcake are back, shaking the virtual rust off and reviewing James Gunn's swan song for not only the MCU (pssst...he now heads up a little studio called DC Studios) but also for this space opera trilogy - Marvel Studios' Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3. NO superhero/comic book can be reviewed on this show without the presence of Masaki AKA Landon AKA Son of Sam. U. Rai. Strap in....this family bickers and chastises each other but in the end...it's all love. Who will champion this crowd pleasing space standalone adventure comedy and who will blame superhero fatigue and an overstuffed script?
