Jam down on the gas pedal as the Boys race to review "Gran Turismo", the much anticipated, somewhat delayed Neill Blomkamp directed adaption of the famed racing simul....uh, video game. Did this hybrid video game adaptation/"based on a true story" biopic win the Watch/Skip'ers over or does it belong relegated to the bin of "skip" worthy video game adaptions (we're looking at you "King of Fighters"!). Before that, Red plus's the passing of two powerhouse athletes (and reveals Cupcake's Happy One Year Anniversary gift to him) while Cupcake shout-outs a brilliant invention he gifted to a guest of our show. On this race track, be sure to look out for those tangents and extra pop culture mentions and a frequently employed WS+ catch-phrase.

Happy birthday to us! Watch/Skip+ is officially a year old, so we celebrated in style by inviting our most frequent guest, Masaki, to help us blow out the candles. The Son of Sam U. Rai isn’t just here to join in on the festivities, but to assist in reviewing yet another superhero origin story, “Blue Beetle.” Did we find the latest cinematic offering from DC to a good unofficial start to James Gunn’s DCU? Before finding out, our guest Landon pluses his friend’s band with a very unique name, while Red defers his plus to Cupcake, who gave a deep look into our first year as a podcast.

Get out your crosses and life preservers as the Watch/Skip'ers sink their teeth into the new horror film "The Last Voyage of the Demeter" directed by Andre Ovredal of "Troll Hunter" and "The Autopsy of Jane Doe" fame. On the eve of their ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY (!!!), the Boys let the puns and the references to past episodes (and oddly "Oppenheimer") fly like the winged Nosferatu of the film. Tune in for the nostalgia and the surprising verdict from the host you'd least expect to NOT like this. Meanwhile...Justin pluses an interesting CGI diversion followed by Cupcake touting something green and good for your skin.

The Boys take a trip to the beach and encounter a deadly shark this week, as they review “Meg 2: The Trench.” Not only were they surprised by the pedigree behind the camera, but their own personal feelings surprised them. There’s even a musical aspect of their review, at one point! Before getting to all of those surprises, Jose reviews two recent movies that hit streaming for his plus, while Justin reviews a topical documentary that also recently made its streaming debut.

BOOM goes the summer movie season as the Watch/Skip'ers (who are officially 50 episodes old!) review the eagerly anticipated new Christopher Nolan, the biopic of the father of the nuclear bomb "Oppenheimer". Their extremely special guest is Kevin from the Raiders of the Podcast podcast from way across the pond (a Scotsman in England) who finally makes his WS+ debut. Put on your protective wear as this discussion goes thermonuclear analyzing, criticizing, and critiquing all facets of the film - the visuals, the narrative, the motifs and themes, and the incredible cast. Is it an underwhelming, non-linearly told history lesson or is it the next great entry in an already great filmmaker's resume?

The Boys take a ride to Barbie Land this week to discover if life in plastic is indeed fantastic! They are not alone, as good friend Alex (formerly of the wonderful “Friends with Cinefits” podcast) rides along to Greta Gerwig’s much-hyped “Barbie” utopia. Before stopping at their destination, the trio briefly discuss the “Barbenheimer” craze, then unleash their pluses: Alex presents a unique way to gain knowledge, Justin surprises everyone with a strangely topical video, and Jose gives capsule reviews to two films (one an upcoming horror film coming hot off sneak previews, the other the latest offering from an auteur).

Another week, another sequel covered on the show. The genre this time is horror, with the Boys tackling the fifth installment in the “Insidious” franchise, “The Red Door.” Did the self-professed HORROR nuts (make sure to pronounce that correctly) find this return to form for the series to be a good decision? Before finding out, Jose pluses his animated nostalgic stress-reliever while Justin once again plays up a Bingo piece (this time not from AEW or NJPW, hint hint).

Wind up your podcast speakers and dial into this new episode as the Watch/Skip'ers whip up a review of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, the fifth in the iconic Dr. Jones franchise from Spielberg and Lucasfilm. With nearly 15 years between this sequel and the last, is Harrison Ford up to giving the legendary adventurer a return-to-form, crowd pleasing send off? Or is this yet another overlong, middling, corporate/nostalgia-bait cash grab? One of the hosts will struggle over this dilemma and who it is may very well surprise. For the opening prologue, Red bingo's yet again for his plus while Cupcake meanders in his plus and fetes a fave director, tries a really bad Dad joke, and then discusses another icon of pop culture.
