The Watch/Skip'ers are back with a new episode that's HALF the length of our Oscar episode...LOL....a massive 5 member critical analysis of Paramount/Hasbro-eOne's epic adaptation of the famous OG RPG game "Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves". Joining the Boys are Troy from "Not A Bomb" podcast and the father/son tag team of "The Gentleman's Guide to Midnite Cinema"s Sam U. Rai and his son Masaki (AKA Landon) of YouTube "Was It That Bad?" fame. As an appetizer, the Plus's just roll out: Troy starts with a rather on topic plus, Masaki plus's and answers the age old question "What is Mongolian Metal"?, Sammy's plus gets an assist from Justin and Cupcake (and Troy for that matter!), and Cupcake plus's an update of a previous fashion related plus. THEN strap in and get ready to aim for high experience points as the Gang talks OG RPG, DnD, the future of movie theatres, and if this film works even if you've never played or don't know what Dungeons and Dragons is. You will never guess who is the most critical of the Chris Pine-led ensemble CGI swords and sorcery new release!

The Boys’ wild dreams come true as they welcome the brother podcasting duo of Daniel and David of the Wild Dream podcast onto the show! Sorry, we couldn’t resist that cheesy joke! Just like we couldn’t resist covering the fourth (and possibly final) installment into the “John Wick” franchise, “John Wick: Chapter 4!" Before tackling that beast, our guests introduce themselves through their pluses (David’s being a video game close to his heart, Daniel’s being a new show from an actor he’s a big stan for), while Jose pluses for both he and Justin by breaking down a monumental news story regarding a big film studio.
Make sure to check out not just the Wild Dream podcast, but Daniel and David’s hilarious (and thematically appropriate) short film, “Brock Shadow: The Reckoning: This Time It’s Personal!” Both are linked below.

The Boys take on yet another superhero flick, DC's Shazam! Fury of the Gods, directed by David F. Sandberg. And while there are no ant men or dimensional portals, this one has flying superheroes, dragons and goddesses, and progressive parents. We are forbidden from reviewing anything comic book/superhero without Masaki, the Son of Sam U. Rai; check out the three of them as they decide whether this new Shazamily Sequel is a fun blast of genre mashup high voltage energy or if it's one of four last dying gasps of the DCEU after several course corrections and new leadership (later this year we get The Flash, Blue Beetle, and the long awaited Aquaman sequel). Meanwhile, Justin Plus's a frequent Bingo card square item, Masaki screams out about a new viewing of his, and Cupcake toasts the departure of a Baltimore actor extraordinaire.

It’s the return of the normal-length episode this week, as The Boys review “Scream VI” in under two hours! No monstrosity of magnificence here like our Oscars episode. Just a lean, mean slasher discussion machine! Before the duo share their thoughts on the latest installment of the long-running franchise, Cupcake shares his thoughts on one of the Oscar-nominated short films, while the Cinemasochist highlights a very unique, cinematic video game he recently played.

The Boys head to the South (by way of Ireland) to review the viral sensation, “Cocaine Bear.” Did they feel the comedy lived up to the hype or was it too strung out (see what I did there)? Before finding that out, the duo break new ground by calling back prior pluses: Cupcake once again reps for a requel with ties to this week’s film, while the Cinemasochist gives his cheeky spin on a product review that Jose discussed a few episodes back.

Phase yourself into this new episode as the Boys (with special guest Masaki, i.e. "Son of Sam U. Rai" of the Gentleman's Guide to Midnite Cinema) watch/skip the Phase 5 inaugural tentpole (albeit early in the year) event that is Marvel Studios' Ant Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Hilarity, metaphors to rollercoasters, Red's (incessant) puns, and occasional Cupcake-driven expletives abound as the three decide whether this is quintessential, essential MCU or simply Phase-Filler spectacle that comes off like two other notable sci fi properties (hint: One's on Adult Swim and minus its creator at this point). Masaki reveals a new creative endeavor, The Cinemasochist toasts a rather unique law enforcement entity, and Cupcake live-reveals the winners of a certain, over-the-pond Oscars-like entity (with surprising results).

On this super-special edition of Watch Skip Singular, Cupcake is joined by Mike the "Wilden-beast" to do a deep dive on the Sundance Film Festival. Listen as the two discuss the history of the famous Utah-based annual film festival, the format of Festival (what's in competition? Are there rules? What are the awards?), and his picks for this year's Best of the Sundance Film Festival 2023 (read: Keep an eye out for when these films release!).

It's finally happened! A Watch/Skip+ episode that is shorter than 90 minutes! Surprising that a Steven Soderbergh film was what did the trick, but there you go. The Boys wrestle with their feelings for the iconic director while reviewing the apparently final chapter in the male stripper trilogy, "Magic Mike's Last Dance." Was it worthy of the director's return (and of the classic Donna Summers song)? Before finding that out, Cupcake pluses an eco-friendly cleaning product, while the Cinemasochist discusses the announcement of a film very similar to "Skinamarink."
