They Will Kill You (2026) — Spoiler-Free Review | Is Zazie Beetz Our New Action Queen?

This week Cupcake (Jose) and Mike (WillDaBeast) sit down with They Will Kill You (2026), a horror action comedy from Russian (and super-cutie) director Kirill Sokolov that's drawing inevitable comparisons to Kill Bill, Ready or Not, and Boy Kills World. But is it more than the sum of its influences? They dig into the cast (Zazie Beetz, Patricia Arquette, Tom Felton, Heather Graham), the director's Tarantino-heavy inspirations, and why this one might actually surprise you. No spoilers, just vibes and a verdict.

Tune in Sunday for the full SPOILER'D breakdown. 🩸

Is Project Hail Mary the Sci-Fi Event of the Year? 👀 | Spoiler-Free

Cupcake and Mike are back, and this week we're shooting for the stars — literally. 🚀

We're giving you our spoiler-free take on Project Hail Mary, the new sci-fi epic starring Ryan Gosling and directed by Phil Lord & Christopher Miller (Into the Spider-Verse, The Lego Movie, 21 Jump Street). Based on Andy Weir's Hugo Award-nominated novel, this one's been on our radar for a while, and let's just say the theater experience did not disappoint… for at least one of us. 😅

We break down Lord & Miller's wild career (yes, we touch on the Solo firing 👀), Andy Weir's legacy after The Martian, and whether this film lives up to the massive hype. Plus: sci-fi deep cuts, a character named Rocky who may have stolen our hearts, and a flashback that had Cupcake ready to throw hands.

Come back this SUNDAY for the full spoiler discussion — things get very interesting.- - - - - - - - - -

We also talk elevated trauma horror, how Undertone stacks up against Hereditary, Paranormal Activity, and Evil Dead.

Cupcake (Jose), Mike (WillDaBeast), and guest Pat (Fantasia pre-screener, Sundance vet) deliver a spoiler-free breakdown of Ian Tuason's debut feature: a Canadian lo-fi psychological horror about a skeptic podcaster listening to ten demonic recordings with her online co-host.

We cover the immersive sound design, Nina Kiri's performance, the Oz Perkins and Pontypool comparisons, and whether the slow build actually pays off — or if it's padding dressed up in good marketing.

Dolly (2026): Grindhouse Slasher Review | Sean William Scott, Max the Impaler & a TCM Debate

Jose and Mike go full watch vs. skip on Dolly (2026), Rob Blackhurst's gritty grindhouse slasher: a Texas Chainsaw Massacre-style thriller premiering out of Fantastic Fest and now hitting theaters through Shudder. Starring Fabianne Therese, Sean William Scott, Max the Impaler, and Ethan Suplee, the film is earning divisive reactions — and the Watch Skip Plus crew is no exception. One host loved every sweaty, gory minute. The other found it a derivative bore.

SPOILER'D movie discussion to follow two days after this ep debuts. New SPOILER FREE EPISODES every Friday covering the latest theatrical releases with a SPOILER'D discussion on Sunday.
