Rob Connoley came to St Louis last year by way of New Mexico. For many years, he owned the Curious Kumquat in Silver City, New Mexico.

Last fall, he opened Squatter's Cafe in the KDHX building. It is a breakfast and lunch spot in the heart of Grand Center. His other project is opening a nighttime restaurant, which will be called Bulrush (another word for cattails).

She recently started her business because she was tired of the bad foods she had been eating during her college years, and felt that people were looking for a healthier snack. Ryan Lewis and Carina Flesch recently moved to St Louis after closing their successful Springfield, Illinois restaurant, Driftwood. They opened Pig & Pickle, after feeling the urge to move to greener pastures, and try their restaurant concept in a whole new environment.

We first met the two of them at a cocktail competition, and randomly learned about their plans to open their Central West End eatery.
