If you've got yourself a toddler, this is the episode for you. You're going to want to take notes
Hilaria & Daphne sat down with Tovah P. Klein, Ph.D. author of How Toddlers Thrive. She is the Director of the Barnard College Center for Toddler Development and a psychology professor at Barnard College, Columbia University. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan and holds a doctorate in psychology from Duke University. She was a clinical fellow at Harvard University, Boston Children's Hospital and a visiting scholar at UCLA. She has been steeped in work with parents and toddlers for nearly three decades and considers the toddler-world a 'toddlertopia'.
If all that isn't enough for you, she is referred to as the 'toddler whisperer' and finds humor an essential piece of parenthood. She conducts research on early development, including parenting challenges and work and family issues; children's play; sleep and separation; and child trauma. She writes for and is frequently quoted in the media, as well.
Together they discuss things like time outs and giving toddlers healthy outlets for aggression, plus giving our children the leeway to discover themselves while still keeping boundaries and so much more!
Favorite Things:
Daphne: Arnica homeopathic Gel for sore muscles, Boiron Children's Cold Calm homeopathic cold relief, Oscillococcinum homeopathic flu relief.
Hilaria: Taste Nirvana Coconut Water
