West Tigers hooker Harry Grant joins us for a chat around the challenges of NRL in the Covid 19 period, the dog walking expeditions he goes on to keep himself occupied and his breakout season in the NRL. We chat about the loan transition from the Melbourne Storm to the Wests Tigers, and why we aren’t experts on loans due to Haz’s Fiscally responsible behaviour. This prompts Harry to christen Haz with a new nickname! We receive a few not so anonymous tip offs from previous guest Christian Welch on some questions that should be asked and this leads to a few verbal barbs being fired back in his direction. We even have time to find out the three people Harry would choose for a decent bender! Brilliant responses ensue.

Leigh is on a cricket trip for the Wanderers through central and north Queensland. So Skin and Haz take the intro… not the smoothest you will hear. 

The FOTS cards have been delivered so the boys discuss their aesthetics, and find a departing Englishman to present a FOTS card to, on one condition.  

Leigh has targeted “Karen from Bunnings” in his new parody song titled Wear Your Mask. 

The boys discuss the issue with one of the segment names they have been running with, and Haz produces a segment on Quoits that is filled with innuendo. 

There is a phone call to Leigh as he is in Charters Towers to discuss his cricket and we are lucky enough to have Luke “Fox” Feldman on the line too to give some detail about what it is like to tour with Leigh.

Haz is up and about for this episode as we speak to Australian professional surfer, Bede Durbidge. Bede spent 13 seasons on the professional tour but it is his time since that we enjoy speaking about.   

Mitch and Leigh declare their lack of surfing knowledge and are socially outcast as Bede talks through how he liked to spend his “Lay Days”, what “Popping a Wheelie” means and the surfers he liked most on tour. 

He talks through the art of making yourself redundant at work which really resonates with Leigh.

Bede explains the origins of his kid’s names… which leads to reminiscing about the drunk hitchhiker that inspired his own name. 

It is a serious battle for the beverages as Haz plugs Alchemy (shock) but Bede returns serve by recommending the beer company he is co-founder of, Balter Brewing Company.
