This week we revisit our tried and true series Pitch or Ditch. We made this a full episode of the reviews for Space Dandy and Arifureta: From Commonplace to World'd Strongest. These series are very different genres and styles and provide y'all two vastly different reviews and options of shows to watch.

Arifureta was originally published as a web novel in 2015 by Ryo Shirakome and later adapted into a light novel series. This isekai show follows Hajime Nagumo and his class as they are transported to another world to help protect a nation against monsters and demons. The show aired during the Summer 2019 season of Anime. The genre is listed as Fantasy, Harem but I would personally add Ecchi to this.

Space Dandy is a 2014 entry from Bones Studio during the Winter 2014 season of Anime. This series was created by Masafumi Harada and follows laissez-faire alien hunter Dandy as he searches the galaxy for new alien species to have registered and make bank! This series is a science fiction comedy, imagine Cowboy Bebop without the grundgy aesthetic and throw it into a paper shredder with a box of neon crayons. The genre is listed as comedy, science fiction, space opera. If anyone can figure out how space opera relates at all to the show please let us know.

We may have had more fun talking about the shows than we did watching them, but we had a BLAST talking crap about these shows.

What were yall's thoughts on these shows? Definitely email us or DM us on instagram if you can to let us know what you thought.

Dragonball Z is one of the most successful anime ever created. It remains a cornerstone of the shounen genre, and it was so influential that people around the world think of DBZ when anime is mentioned. However, while being an undisputed classic, Dragonball Z is not a perfect show. Hardcore and casual fans alike have long debated the quality of the final arc of the show: The Buu Saga.

This week, Ricky and Ethan dissect The Buu Saga to get to the heart of this arc. Why has this saga been steeped in mixed opinions within the DBZ community? Why does The Buu Saga feel lackluster despite having such iconic moments? How could the story have been changed for the better? The Weebologists try to answer these questions in this weeks episode!

Kimetsu no Yaiba aka Demon Slayer is an Anime by Ufotable Studio premiering in the Spring 2019 season and running to Summer 2019 season of Anime. Demon Slayer is a highly selling manga originally going into the Weekly Shoenen Jump magazine starting in 2016.

In this installment of the Weebology Podcast we take a jaunt into the gorgeous anime Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer in English). We talk through setting characters and plot. We leave any major spoilers to the last 15 minutes of the episode so it is friendly to newbie and veteran demon slayer alike.

Plot of Kimetsu No Yaiba: In Taisho-era Japan, Tanjiro Kamado is a kindhearted and intelligent boy who lives with his family, making money by selling charcoal. Everything changes when his family is attacked and slaughtered by demons (oni). Tanjiro and his sister Nezuko are the sole survivors of the incident. Nezuko has now become a demon, but still surprisingly shows signs of human emotion and thought. Tanjiro becomes a demon slayer to help his sister turn human again and to prevent the same tragedy that happened to him and his sister from happening to others. - Wikipedia Demon Slayer

We think this is a guaranteed finalist this year for Anime of the Year, Do you all agree or do you have a different pick?

Welcome back to the Weebology Podcast everyone, hope you all are doing well! This week we tackle another of installment of our worst of weeb segments with the Mars of Destruction OVA. This is the single worst rated piece of content on My Anime List which should give y’all an idea of how amazing it is... Mars of Destruction was an OVA from 2005 originally made to help sell a video game of the same name. We are confident if the game is anything  the show it was a complete stinker!

In the second part of the episode we had another session of our much loved Pitch or Ditch segment. Ethan pitch the show Arifureta: Commonplace to World's Strongest and Ricky Pitch Space Dandy.

Arifureta was originally published as a web novel in 2015 by Ryo Shirakome and later adapted into a light novel series. This isekai show follows Hajime Nagumo and his class as they are transported to another world to help protect a nation against monsters and demons. We go in depth on one of the best series premiering this year, Vinland Saga! This show is an adaptation of a Japanese historical Manga series by Makuto Yukimura. The series began in the Shonen Magazine aimed at young people and later moved to the monthly manga magazine Afternoon, which is more of a Seinen type magazine. The Anime began in the Summer 2019 season of Anime and was animated by Wit Studio. You may recognize the name from series like Attack on Titan and Kabenari of the Iron Fortress.

Vinland Saga is set in 1013 AD England, which has been mostly conquered by the Danish King Sweyn Forkbeard. As King Sweyn nears death, his sons, Prince Harald and Prince Canute, are arguing over his succession. The story draws elements from historical accounts of the period such as The Flateyjarbók, The Saga of the Greenlanders and The Saga of Eric the Red. - Wikipedia: Vinland Saga.

The story revolves around Thors the Ogre and his son Thorfinn. They carry on Viking tradition and participate in many battles. Thorfinn grows up far from home and works to become an elite fighter worthy of a seat in Valhalla.

What did you all think of Vinland Saga? We loved it let us know what yall thought!

We talk through this 2019 Silver Link produced anime. The story follows Shin Wolford, a normal everyday Japanese salaryman perishes and is transported to another world and reincarnated into the body of a baby. The babies family had been in a terrible accident and Shin was found by the Wise Man Merlin and raised as his grandchild. Merlin is a hero from the Earlshied Kingdom and raised Shin in the magic arts. Shin has taken a liking to magic and is extremely advanced. The story follows his entrance into the world and his joining the Magic Academy.

We talk through our thoughts on season 1 and whether we think there will be or should be a 2nd season.

In the second half of the episode we revisit one of our favorite segments the Over / Underrated Anime and this week we talk over the Demon Cyborg Genos from the One Punch man series. Genos an S-Class hero and student to Saitama is he an overrated boy or is he viewed as a hunk of junk unjustly? Ethan takes the Overrated side and Ricky debates the Underrated side in one of our favorites of the series!

What did you all think about Wiseman's Grandchild!

We've got some perennial powerhouses coming back like My Hero Academia Season 4, the second half of Vinland Saga, and the final episodes of season 1 for Dr. Stone and Fire Force. We are extremely hyped on this season and hope y'all will enjoy following along with us as we enjoy.

Trigun the anime was adapted from the manga by Madhouse Studios in 1998. This show has been a staple and a certified classic. Ethan and Rick talk over 3 amazing things and 2 not so amazing parts of the series. With its Western, Cowboy, Steam punk, Space, Alien genre its no wonder it was a hit.

This is one of those shows that watching it dubbed will really do wonders for your experience. Johnny yong bosch turns in a truly seminal work of English voice acting to Japanese anime. The audience will really feel the emotion that Vash exudes and if you can put yourself in his shoes I'm sure you will feel the same way.

Is Vash the only human natural disaster? Should he be worth 60 billion $$? Is he really such a bad guy? These are all questions you will ask yourself throughout the series.
