This week we wanted to talk about mental abuse in different relationships/dynamics & how we tend to make excuses for them because of how much we love the person that’s abusing us, we know it’s easier said than done but it’s time to put a stop to these narcissistic people who take advantage of people who they know will stay through it all, it’s important to recognize this behavior early on to take our power back! We talk about people sharing their stories on TikTok & how important it is to create awareness & share stories, we can help helping 1 person a day and that alone is huge!

This week we wanted to keep it a bit more serious and talk about what took place in Illinois. A police officer shot & killed Sonya Massey when she had called them for help.

Would it have been the same outcome if she wasn’t a person of color? 

Would this be getting all this recognition if there wasn’t any body cam footage? 

These officers were supposed to protect her and instead she was shot and killed by someone she thought she could trust.

Tune in & stay updated with the media as new evidence and updates continue to emerge since this is still an open case. 

We also touched bases on how a 17 year old kid got shot & killed by someone who was following him claiming he was being suspicious, keep in mind Trayvon Martin had only gone to a gas station to get snacks, didn’t do anything wrong, the only difference was that he was black.
