Meet Carissa Stanton aka @broccyourbody. Carissa currently live in Los Angeles, CA and runs her food blog full time! She graduated from San Diego State with a degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Fitness, Health, and Nutrition. She is a huge advocate for fitness and healthy eating and says she has been in love with food for as long as she can remember. Carissa learned how to cook from basically anyone who would let her follow them around in the kitchen- parents, aunts & uncles, neighbors, friend’s parents, you name it. Her passion and love for all things food combined with her nutrition and wellness background gave birth to Carissa's page: @broccyourbody.

In this episode, we speak openly and honestly about topics such as finding/creating confidence, the toxicity of the multi-billion dollar diet industry, making friends as an adult, and much more. Taylor Somerville founded Symmetry after working in the investment business for 15 years. Taylor discovered breath work as a way to deal with the stress and anxiety in his personal and professional life. Meet Shae Leonard: A certified Physician Assistant, practicing functional medicine health coaching as a mental health, hormone and gut expert! Shae was first introduced to functional medicine at a young age by her mentor and Aunt, Dr. Cynthia Coor, while struggling with a variety of health concerns at the age of 16 years old. After seeing countless specialists and a myriad of prescription medications that led to side effects and worsening symptoms, at the age of 17 years old she began to advocate and research for herself, which ultimately led her to pursue medicine as  a career as a way to help those with a similar story.
