And yes, witnessing a Black woman stepping into a position of leadership for our nation is a milestone we must acknowledge, even as we confront the harsher realities of global conflicts.

Kamala Harris's recent debate performance left me in awe, and I couldn’t help but reflect on my personal experiences with her. Her ability to own a room is nothing short of inspiring, and it’s moments like these that remind us of the critical need for voter mobilization and awareness. I also share my thoughts on media consumption, stressing the importance of diverse news sources, like The New York Times, Al Jazeera, and The Root, while sounding a cautionary note on the often misleading world of social media. Finding the balance between staying informed and not falling into the trap of disinformation is a tightrope we all walk.

Lastly, let's talk about the power of connection among Black women. We dive into how social media can be both a tool for spreading truth and a weapon for misinformation, especially against marginalized communities. It's imperative that platforms hire more native Spanish speakers to better address targeted disinformation. I also reflect on the profound sense of community I've felt at our annual retreats—a sanctuary for open dialogue and mutual support.
