Werewolf Ambulance: A Horror Movie Comedy Podcast

In this week's episode, we're watching a vampire movie chosen by the Patróns and it just happens to be set in and filmed in the seedy city of Pittsburgh, PA! It's 1992's "Innocent Blood." Special topics for your consideration include: bars that aren't there anymore, an absolutely batshit cast, a side of Robert Loggia we'd never seen before, and the most hometown movie we've ever covered (and that includes our Patreon episodes on both "Striking Distance" and "The Dark Knight Rises."

Vampires! They are everywhere! Maybe just go listen to Episode 355- "Twilight" because lol.

In this week's episode, we're discussing the utterly silly 1989 Wes Craven film, "Shocker." Special topics for your consideration include: your foster kid, confusing police work, a double dip into the world of blue collar workers being murderers, and absolutely doubting "true love."

Get into our Wes Craven catalogue! You've got Episode 4- "Nightmare on Elm Street," Episode 44- Scream," Episode 138- "The People Under the Stairs," Episode 228- "Scre4m," Episode 242- "Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors," Episode 278- Scr3am," Episode 362- "Wes Craven's New Nightmare," and finally Episode 391- "Scream 2." WHEW.

In this week's episode, we're discussing the 1979 rendition of "Dracula" that features the 1970s' most unlikely fuckboy, Frank Langella. Wowwww. Special topics for your consideration include: getting all the spackle off your face and/or neck, interchangeable ladies' names that are decidedly not interchangeable based on a classic of gothic literature, seeing to your comfort, Donald Pleasance doing what he does best (being Donald Pleasance), and the hornier heights of Francis Ford Coppola.

Please feel free to go listen to us discuss Allen's favorite Dracula in "Bram Stoker's Dracula" (Episode 110) or my favorite Dracula (lol jk) in Episode 317- "Dracula 2000." Just for good measure, please check out Episode 355- "Twilight" and know that I have offered to cover another movie from the franchise and Allen has outright refused. Take it up with him.

In this week's episode, we're discussing the 2020 supernatural/psychological horror film "The Night House." Special topics for your consideration include: a lil bit of Pinhead, butts on the water (fire in the sky), the long-reaching tentacles of trauma, useless husbands, and great practical effects.

We've now covered quite a bit of director David Bruckner's work. You can hear us discuss it in Episode 167- The Ritual, Episode 402- "Hellraiser," and Episode 436- "V/H/S."

Oh my god, EMTs. Don Dohler was a genius and an American treasure and his catalog should be far more celebrated. In this week's episode, we're discussing his 1982 absolute masterpiece of trash, "Nightbeast." Special topics for your consideration include: Baltimore accents that sound lovely to our Western PA ears, being a flannelman, a top 5 weird sex scene in WWA history, and the return of two characters that one of us loved.

Please go listen to Episode 178- "The Alien Factor" for more of Don Dohler's work. It's exquisite.

Seriously, we have the best listeners, hands down.

In this week's episode, we're discussing a movie that so many of you have requested that we cover, and we're left asking the big questions like...why? Special topics for your consideration include: great actors and...not-so-great actors, solid discmen, being a book boy, the very concept of casino school, Chekov's peanut butter, and babies being at fault for truly everything.

I dunno guys. What did you see in this one?? If you'd like to hear us discuss other movies that yinz liked that we didn't, you can listen to Episode 441- "The Autopsy of Jane Doe" or Episode 473- "Drag Me to Hell." I am sure there are others but frankly, I couldn't bring myself to scroll through them all.

This week, in true Werewolf Ambulance style, we're diving headfirst into a film series by beginning somewhere in the middle: we're discussing the 1985 George Romero film "Day of the Dead." Special topics for your consideration include: having a very shitass day at work, fantastic practical effects, a film of Pittsburgh royalty, comparisons to "Short Circuit," an absolutely bananas score, and an ode to my neighbor and yours but actually mine Tom Savini.

If there was a Pittsburgh Mt. Rushmore, you'd better bet George Romero would be on it (and not that asshole Andy Warhol). Catch his other films that we've covered in Episodes 21 and 249- "Creepshow" and "Creepshow 2," respectively, and Episode 137- "Monkey Shines."

Hi EMTs! I'm on vacation this week so no write up...enjoy the episode!

In this week's episode, we're discussing the schlockiest of 80s schlock and loving every second of it with the 1986 supernatural (?) haunted house (??) movie (???) "Spookies." Special topics for your consideration include: the joining of two movies into one, being unclear on people's relationships with one another, Duke the horny ghost, and some of the most fun and most dookie special effects we've ever seen.

This movie came recommended to "fans of 'Chopping Mall'" so I absolutely must suggest you go listen to that episode-- it's Episode 174.

In this week's episode, we're making lemonade out of Xenu with the 2017 Tom Cruise reboot of "The Mummy." Uuuuunnngggghhhh. Special topics for your consideration include: what happens when Tom Cruise ceases to be charming, being mad at the Dark Universe while having only a very cursory understanding of what it is, pity for Jake Johnson, more Law & Order alums, and some mummies, zombies, action sequences that manage to be deeply boring, and unfathomable romance (this fucker has it all).

Haha Tom Cruise sucks. He was also in Episode 76, titled "????" from when we used to remember to do April Fool's episodes (it's "Days of Thunder" which is actually a great movie and don't let anyone tell you otherwise) and Episode 190- "Interview with the Vampire."
